Chaeyoung POV

The heaviness in my chest lifted a bit. My fingers settled around the phone ready to speed dial aunt Jeongyeon. When she called me earlier to tell me about grandpa, she asked me if I wanted to come. I refused and I told her to go ahead. But, after talking to Sana I regretted my decision. I knew I was no good to my family, but being here with her somehow seemed all I needed and I plan to do the same towards my family. She's right. All I needed to do is show them that I was there for them too. I heard her thud step walk in.

"Lets go!" She said lightly and surprises me.

"Go where?" I asked.

"To the hospital." She replied.

Eh? I shook my head.

"You don't have to drive me there. I can call aunt Jeongyeon or my parents." I said.

"I'm not driving. Aunt Mina is, but I'm coming with you if that's okay?" She said in a matter of fact despite the question.

There was a weird turmoil in my heart. If it was okay?

"Of course." I replied.

I don't know which part of the conversation I stood up but I was on my feet.

"But, why would you do that?" I asked.

"Cause no one should go through this alone." She said with her tone softened with sympathy that tagged on my strings.

Then, she linked her arm to mine. My body's instant reaction was to press her linked arm to my side. I took comfort from her closeness. I had no words that could express the things that stirred inside me. She kept breaking me and then building me up in ways no one ever did. Adding to my internal wars I wasn't sure how I felt about it. Was I mad? Did I seem vulnerable? Stronger? Broken? All of the above? The one thing I was sure about was that I'm grateful. I opened my mouth then closed it when I heard Sana's aunt walk in.

"I'm really sorry about your grandfather, Chaeyoung. I hope he will be fine soon." She said.

"Yeah, I hope he will get well soon." Jeongin said.

I nodded my appreciation.

"Thank you guys." I said smiling.

"Chaeyoung, what's your grandfather's name?" Aunt Mina asked once we stepped inside the hospital and out of that non stop rain.

"Son Ji Wook." I said.

"Give me a minute. Let me check at the desk." She said as her voice drifted farther as the soft taps of her steps distanced.

Sana pulled me to the side and out of the way. I learned on the cold wall behind me. My thoughts distracted by my surroundings. There's a lot happening around me. I can focus at any of that and I felt my chest tight. I hated crowded unfamiliar places. It made me restless in many different ways. As if sensing my dilemma Sana touched her shoulder to mine and the back of her hand brushed against mine. My head whipped her direction and I smiled. She was telling me silently that she was here for me.

"Hey, Mina. I thought you had early shift today." Someone said catching my attention.

"I did. I'm here to check on a friend." Aunt Mina said.
