Chapter 92
NORPOV
I watched the proceeding I'm so proud of Ella she's cool and calm and in control. Damn sexy as per usual. I'm glad she's listening to me I'm going to take her to the doctor tomorrow. I'm listening to what she's saying, she had told me what happened but hearing it again I'm so proud of her. I know I'm lucky to have her back but I never realized how lucky. I can't believe that that asshole's saying that Ella and Sean were having an affair. Fuck I got to give Sean a heads up over it.
**Dude the press knows about us and you guys. I'm sorry.**
**Wtf? How did they find out? That's private.**
**She had to. They had photos of you and her kissing. He said we tag-teamed her. That kidnapping was faked.**
**Dammit you know that means we're screwed if those photos get out.**
Ella gets told that she's allowed to leave. I watch her out she's not looking well at all. The next thing I see is her collapsing. This time I'm too far away to catch her, but thankfully someone does.
"Someone call an ambulance!" Someone shouted. I raced over to her. Had to explain I'm her husband, and she was clammy.
"Come on baby wake up. I thought we had a deal babe."
Just then the paramedics arrived and they're checking her over, she was breathing but unresponsive. They put her on the stretcher and take her outside and into the ambulance I ask where they were taking her I told them the best hospital they said Emory University hospital. I ran to my car and got the address and raced to the hospital and into the emergency room, I'm assuming that is where she is.
"Ella Reedus."
"Yes she's in room two the doctors are with her now."
"Okay, people come on. Get a rush on that blood work. Her blood pressure's low, and her heart rate, and breathing are slow. Get the ultrasound machine here I want to see what's happening with this child.
"Excuse me, doctor? She can't be pregnant she had a partial hysterectomy at the end of December."
"Well if that's true I want to see have is happening with this abdomen. Tell the nurse that took her blood I want it tested for CA125 and inhibin."
"What does that mean? CA125 what is that?"
"How long has she been sick? Has she lost her appetite?
"Ah, five or six weeks. Yeah, she hardly eats."
"Oh, that's not good. Where's that ultrasound machine I need it stat. The nurse tell the surgeons I think we'll need to operate very soon."
"You'll have to operate. Oh god." I think I'm going to be sick.
"Sir are you okay you're not looking well?"
"Just worried sick. What's wrong with my wife?"
"I can't say anything until the blood work and the ultrasound machine gets here." The machine is wheeled in and the doctor goes to work. "Okay let's have a look at what's happening here." He starts moving the wand over her stomach, I'm watching him why didn't I force her to go to the doctor's earlier I should've made her. I'm so stupid I knew something was wrong. "Oh no, I thought so. Nurse tell the surgeons we will wait for the blood work results where are they I said they were in a rush and I need them stat. But she'll need surgery now."
"Tell me what's happening with my wife?"
"Looking at your wife's abdomen she appears to have a large cyst on one of her ovaries, I'm so sorry to say this you said that she had a hysterectomy in January. Well then it probably should've been spotted then but there may have been too much happening."
"Oh god no."
"We can fix this she'll be heading to surgery as soon as the blood work comes back. The oncologist will advise of treatment options."
"Doctor the results are here."
"I hate being right. Tell the surgeons we need her opened up right now."
"What's going to happen? Will she be heading to surgery again?"
"Yes she'll be having what's called a laparotomy, it removals her ovaries, Fallopian tubes, and several other things but I'm not sure what the surgeons will decide as they're operating on her."
"Oh god."
"Do you want to head down to the waiting area?"
I get the directions and make my way toward it. I get my phone out and start calling people.
"Norman?"
"Mom."
"Are you okay?"
"No mom, I'm sorry I need you here in Atlanta please come."
"What's wrong babe? Is it the babies?"
"It's Ella mom."
"What about her babe?"
"She's going into surgery again mom."
"What the fuck?"
"The doctors think it's ovarian cancer."
"Oh fuck babe, I'll be there as soon as I can babe. Stay strong call your friends and see who's available until I turn up okay."
"Mom what am I going to do? I can't lose her mom."
"Well stop panicking that would be a start. I'll be there in a couple of hours. Okay?"
"Okay, mom. I love her mom, I can't lose her ever."
"Babe I got to go if I'm going to get to you."
"Thanks."
"Mel?"
"Norman? What's up, babe?"
"Can you come to Emory hospital I need you here?"
"Sure of course I'll be there soon okay? Message me where and I will be there soon okay."
"Thank babe."
I'm left with my thoughts till someone turns up. Six hours later, I see a doctor come out of the operating room she is in.
"Mr. Reedus?"
"Yeah, that's me."
"Your wife pulled thou fine she'll be out shortly. We had to remove her ovaries, and Fallopian tubes her oncologist will explain everything better." I start to cry.
"Norman honey that's good news they didn't have to remove her bowels by the sound of it. Here she comes." Said Melissa.
I watch her wheel her out of surgery. She just looks like she sleeping.
"Hey, baby I'll see you soon. Her room right?"
"Yes sir."
I watch her be wheeled away hopefully she will be okay but it's a long way to go according to Mel we have family here that care for us that's all that matter.
