Two hours later...

Oh god, poor Ella. She can't seem to catch a break, can she? I decided to call around to see who was here Norman's going to need more than me to help him.

"Hey, girl."

"Hi, Melissa."

"What's wrong?"

"Are you able to get to the Fayette hospital now?"

"Yeah, I can what's happening?"

"Oh I'm here waiting for Ella to come out of surgery I think Norman'll need his friends when he comes here."

"Whoa, Ella's in the hospital? What happened? Does Norman know about you know what?"

"The baby? Oh yeah, they got engaged a few days ago."

"Oh good about time he knew I hated not telling him. That's sweet. I can be there in about twenty. Okay?"

"Thanks, Mel. Bye."

"Bye."

God, who else can I call? Andy's not here he's gone back to England, Steve's in Tokyo, I'm here, Mel's on her way oh I know Scott and Greg.

An hour later the gang's all here as we're in the waiting room, it's taking a long time not that I know how long it would take to fix a stab wound on a pregnant lady.

"So how'd this happen again?" Asked Greg.

"Her ex-husband was waiting for her to return to Senoia when she did he attacked her that's all I know."

"Poor thing. Norman must be going out of his mind, I know I'd be if I was in New York and my wife was here being attacked."

"It gets worse Greg."

"How can it get any worse?"

"Well Norman was on the phone with Ella when it happened he heard everything."

"Oh god!" Said Mel. "I can't imagine anything worse. Knowing something's happening and not being able to do a damn thing about it."

"He did he called the cops, he saved her life again."

"He is good like that."

"Ella Mackenzie's family?

"Yeah, that is us."

"You're here family?"

"Yeah, we are. So how is she?"

"She and the baby are fighters we had some issues with the blood loss but we stopped the bleeding. Is her husband on the way?"

"Yes, he flying in he'll be here soon."

"Good he should be."

"So is the baby okay?"

"Oh yeah, it's a strong little person. A fighter like its mom." I went up and hugged the doctor. "Thank you so much."

"It's just my job ma'am. You guys can see her soon she'll be in her room shortly."

"Thank you doc."

"Oh that's good news Norman'll be so happy"

The next thing I see is Norman rushing into the waiting area.

"Lauren, you heard anything?"

"Yeah she's okay they're about to bring her out."

"The baby?"

"Yeah is Stella okay."

"Oh god."

"Hey, brother. How'd you get here so fast?" Asked Greg.
