Chapter 8
NRPOV
I decided today was the day it's a day before Ella's birthday and I'm going to give her the majority of her presents. I know she's home today she decided not to open she has lots to do for Emily's birthday party tomorrow. What she doesn't know is that I spoke to Lauren and told her it's Ella's birthday as well and Lauren told me we have to do something for her, that we couldn't have her come to a party for a birthday on her birthday and not do anything, especially seeming she means so much to me.
"Ah, Lauren what are you on about?" In between shots.
"Oh, you just try and tell me she doesn't mean anything to you I see it every time you see her. Your face lights up." I turn a bright shade of red. "Oh, Reedus you're not turning red right now? I think someone's in love."
"You know you're real childish Lauren."
"Well, it's true."
"Hey, Steven."
"Yeah, Lauren do you think Norman likes Ella?"
"Like? Oh no, he doesn't like Ella he loves her. Ella and Norman sitting in a tree first comes love, then comes marriage and something about a baby. Hey man, what's wrong? We are just kidding about." Said, Steven.
"She can't have kids that just reminded me of that."
"Oh man, that sucks. Now I feel like a dick. I'm sorry to hear that about Ella, I bet she would've made an awesome mum to some lucky kid." Steve said.
"Yeah, she would've. Go on let's get this over with I have a shopping trip to take my girl on."
"Jewelry shopping?" Asked Lauren.
"No, I'm getting her a television and entertainment stuff she still hasn't watched the show."
"Cool, that sounds like fun."
"I'll also be introducing her to Mingus and Eye this evening wish me luck."
"Good luck with that."
Several hours later...
"Dad, what are we doing?"
"Well, you know how I've been talking about Ella?"
"The girl you like."
"The lady I like a lot. It's her birthday tomorrow and we're going to help get her something for her birthday."
"So your spending money on another woman. You'd think you would've learned by now, after Cecelia these women only want to use you, dad."
"Ella is different. She wants nothing from me. I don't even know if she'll accept my birthday gift."
"So, let me guess we are going jewelry or clothes shopping. Something boring like that."
"No Ming, we're going to Best Buy and she can buy whatever she wants I need you to help her get a tv and whatever else she needs."
"Why do we need to buy her this? Can't she buy it herself?"
"Yeah she can but she won't. She doesn't have it in her house she hasn't watched television in over ten years Ming I thought this was something nice for her. She's nice I've been trying to get the two of you together but she's scared to death that you won't like her, I'm scared you won't like her. I like her she's not like anyone I've ever been with. Well, we're here I'm begging you please try and like her." As I get out of the car.
"Okay if she means that much to you I'll try but if she's stuck up or rude to me hell no." I smile when he says that she's the least stuck-up person I know.
