"I couldn't help but wonder what really happened last night."

We were sitting next to each other on a high stool. Both of my arms are resting on the table in front of us while my hands are holding a cup of iced coffee. Timothy on the other hand is leaning on his high stool while sipping from his cup of iced tea.

There are people walking on the sidewalk where some plants are lined up perfectly, walang masyadong sasakyan, which makes the scene calming.

"I'm sorry about earlier," Timothy suddenly said.

I took that as a chance to send Geof the reward he's talking about earlier before I forget it again. He actually texted back, asking what's going on with me and Timothy, but he answered his question himself dahil nakuha na niya yung gusto niya.

"For what?" I asked him.

I'm not sure if he's been thinking about that at ngayon lang siya nagkaroon ng lakas ng loob dahil kahit noong makapasok kami rito sa resto, yung kakainin lang namin ang pinag-usapan namin, pagkatapos noon, tahimik na talaga kami.

Okay lang naman sa akin dahil ang ganda ng ambiance nitong napili niyang restaurant, kaso, may kalayuan lang sa company, but then again, it's really okay. It's kind of surprising that this silence we have now doesn't feel awkward, unlike the other ones that I really have to think of something to talk about just to fill in the atmosphere.

"About Architect Cua," he hesitantly said. "I feel like I acted inappropriately."

"It's no big deal," I assured him. "For sure... you saw him last night at Haven?"

"Naalala mo na yung nangyari kagabi?"

"Not everything. Hindi pa naman ako lasing noong dumating si Geof at yung mga kaibigan niya," I paused. "Why do you seem so worried if I remember everything last night? Wala ba talaga akong ginawa? Ikaw? Tayo?"

"What? No. We just... talk," he slowly said as he bit the inside of his cheek. "And I sure got worried, but not you, remembering everything. I got worried because you called me out of nowhere."

"I called... you?"

He nodded. "Hindi naman ako pupunta roon nang wala lang." He slightly smiled. "You didn't say anything in the call though, but I heard like a live band in the background. I immediately assumed that you're at Haven," he explicated. "If I haven't seen Luther first when I arrived there, I'd probably think that someone's about to harm or harming you, again."

Suddenly, I felt guilty. What was I thinking last night? It seems like I troubled him so much.

"You're the one worried now," Timothy pointed out as he caught my eyes. "Hindi na kailangan. At least, I witnessed myself that you're not in trouble."

Damn. Why does he have to say that?

"Again, thank you," I said before I could even forget to speak. "And I'm sorry for bothering you last night. You're probably doing something much important."

"It's really fine, Alyson," he reassured as he looks away from me and sips from his iced tea.

I stared at him for seconds before I turned to the scene in front of us too until my phone vibrated. It was a text from Vaughn, but Timothy here assumed another guy.

"Architect Cua?"

I shook my head. Parehas yata sila ng thinking ni Luther. "It's Vaughn," I answered as I type a reply to Vaughn and check my schedule after. "Why do you keep mentioning Geof?"
