Daisy

We arrived at my house safely.

The trip was silent, and the tension was obvious.

I tried to fall asleep, but all I managed to do was close my eyes and relax as much as I could.

Angel parked the car and exited on his side, turning around and opening the door to my side.

I walked out after thanking him.

I turned around to face him as we approached the front door.

When I raised my gaze to him, I noticed that his eyes were cold and his face was expressionless.

"What's wrong Daisy?" He asks.

I shake my head and respond.

"Nothing's wrong, I'm just tired." I tell him, hoping to sound believable.

Though I don't think he believed me as he stared at me intensely.

I averted my glance from his and gulped as I examined my shoes.

"Thank you, Angel, for tonight." I glance up at him and say honestly.

His gaze remained intense and cold and I sighed turning around to the door.

He had grabbed my arm before I could even get inside the door.

He spun me around quickly and gave me a deafening stare that made me want to crawl into a hole and die.

"Daisy, tell me," He says sternly.

I sigh and run a hand through my hair, getting frustrated.

"Leave it alone, Angel. I told you I was just tired." I told him harshly.

His jaw clenched tightly and he let go of my arm.

He gave me a single nod before turning around and walking away.

I bit my lower lip as tears welled up in my eyes.

I hurried up the stairs and into my room as soon as I entered the house.

I locked the door and exhaled a sigh of relief.

I sat down on my bed and leant back against the bed frame, after placing all my things on my desk.

My mind raced as I stared blankly at the decorated wall in front of me.

I simply considered all of my options.

There weren't many, and the pounding in my head made it difficult for me to concentrate.

I've never been a fan of stress.

I couldn't just take 500 thousand dollars from Angel; I wouldn't want him to think I'm after his money.

I couldn't tell him about it either; there was no way I could without drawing attention to myself or being caught.
