Lucinda's POV:
The stars seemed slightly brighter.

Luna was the only one able to enjoy them with me, though.

Luna was leaning on my rucksack, her bright smile still plastered on her face. Sometimes I would get teased for keeping a doll on me, but now she was the closest thing to family I had. I could still feel my family's fingerprints on her. It was slightly comforting. Luna looked like me, except smaller. "You have it easy, Luna..." I thought to myself as I bit my lip, "You just sit there and ignore all your problems." Luna just sat there and ignored me.

After walking on the concrete path for about fifteen minutes, I managed to find a bench to rest on. I also found a walkie talkie on the ground next to it, but I haven't heard anything or anyone from it yet. My first aid kit sat opened next to Luna while I treated my bruises, scratches, and eye. Although I was able to numb the pain, I wouldn't be able to do anything to fix it. "It'll hold for now...I hope," I thought to myself as I threw away my thirty-fourth bloody paper towel in a trash can next to the bench.

I took off my sister's trench and looked at my arms. The white button up I was wearing underneath had the sleeves rolled up, revealing the bandages on my arms. They weren't pretty. There were small red stains on them. The ones on my legs weren't different either. My ankle still hurt, too. My lungs couldn't take in enough oxygen anymore. How was I even still alive? "Maybe me losing my mind is the price I'm paying in order to stay alive," I muttered to no one in particular.

I then turned towards my journal before picking it up.

"My older sister, Rose, was tasked with finding reports of a missing child, my best friend Georgie. I somehow managed to convince her and my parents to let me tag along. As we arrived at the Piggy family household for any leads, I began to notice things were off. A breeze of unease shrouded me as I stepped out of my sister's vehicle. Without a moment to react, I blacked out and woke up in the bedroom of the house with a beaming headache. Someone had knocked me and my family out and brought us here, but why? If they wanted to get rid of us, why didn't didn't finish the job?"

"While attempting to piece things together, Rose and I encountered a strange, crazed Penny with different eyes and a hunger for harm. She didn't talk, she just chased us. Terrifying. Unfortunately, harm was done in there. Penny killed Rose in the basement. The only things I had of her were her trench, her gun, and the necklace she always wore. As soon as my parents and I escaped the house, we decided to get back to the station and get help. What we have here seems to be much more than a missing animal case."

"The Piggy household. Looks oddly...peaceful." I put my tape roll down and looked at the two pages. One of them had writing on it, while the other had a picture of the Piggy household. A shiver went down my spine as I remembered the furniture being thrown everywhere, the cracks on the walls, and my older sister's bloodcurdling scream. I ran my fingers through my messy hair, sighing as I felt the tangles and knots. I turned to the next page of my journal.

"When my parents and I reached the station, we had found it to be unusually quiet. No officers celebrating, no criminals rattling their cell doors...nothing. Then, the intercom spurted out a warning to get to the garage. The voice sounded familiar. It was Doggy, Rose's old partner, both romantically and in work. I don't know why he showed up on his day off. Maybe it was a distress call that all officers received while me and my family were unconscious in the Piggy house."
