The Detective's POV:
I work as a detective alongside my mom and dad. Being one of the only humans in Lucella was pretty weird, but I never felt left out or anything. Anthropomorphic animals live here, and no one knows what happened to the other humans, but that thought never bothered me. However, many rumors were going around about what could've happened to them. The rumors went from plagues to skirmishes.

Despite being extremely different, I had a group of friends whom I loved to hang out with. Of course, they were all animals, but I quickly accepted them and vice versa. I've even managed to find myself a significant other, whom I loved very much and wouldn't be the same without him. For the most part, my life was pretty normal. I was currently sitting on a park bench, drinking a strawberry milkshake, and reading some online books when I got a text.

Penny: Come to my house, I have something to tell you.

Penny was an anthropomorphic pig who wore red and pink most of the time. I've known her forever. She sent it in our group chat which had a bunch of our other friends, which meant she was serious about this. I quickly finished my shake before throwing the cup in the trash and walking to my bike. Penny's house wasn't that far from the park, so it only took me about 10 minutes to bike over there. I practically kicked the door down when I arrived.

"Penny!!" I yelled. "Rosie Pose!" Penny replied as she walked up to me. Sheepy and Bunny were already there. "I came here as soon as I could, is everything okay?" I asked. "Oh, everything's fine, we just need to wait for everyone else to arrive so that I can tell you something very important," Penny replied. I nodded and flopped down on the couch, waiting for everyone else to arrive. Speaking of "Rosie Pose," that nickname was given to me by my dad since I didn't like my full name.

Roselia.

It was too formal for me.

"So, wanna give me a hint as to what this thing is?" I asked."Nope! Sorry, Rose!" Sheepy replied as I pouted. Sheepy was a scientist and wore pink pretty often."You'll just have to wait for everyone else!" Bunny added. Bunny was also a scientist and wore teal a lot. I groaned and sank into the couch cushion. Then a thought came into my head."Hey, how's Mrs.P doing? I heard that her sickness is getting worse," I said as I sat up.

"It is getting worse, Rose. She's been in the hospital for weeks. The chances she makes it out are low," Bunny explained."Oh. Poor thing," I replied.Mrs.P was a human just like me. She was a very kind woman, and it was sad to hear that she was sick. Although I felt bad for her husband, Mr.P, too. I haven't seen him in weeks, so I hoped that he was okay. I made plans to visit them when I leave to go home. We humans have to stick together, after all.

Suddenly, I felt someone slap a hat over my head. Everyone chuckled as I struggled to take it off due to it being really large. After a few moments of struggling, I took it off to see that it was a big purple hat."Zizzy, did you have to make it seem like you were trying to strangle me?" I asked the zebra in purple, who walked in without me noticing. Zizzy was a zebra who worked as a fencing coach and wore purple a lot. She also had two little sisters, Zee and Zuzy.

Zizzy chuckled and ruffled my hair as she took her hat back."Sorry, Rosie Pose!" She said as she leaned against the wall next to me. "It did look like you were trying to strangle her, Ziz," Pony, who wore yellow and had glasses, said."I'm okay, Pony, Zizzy does this often," I reassured him as I fixed my hair. More people started to come over time, such as Foxy, Mousy, and Elly.
