⚠️TW!! MAJOR blood and gore!!⚠️

Lucinda's POV:
My reflexes were faster than before.

I realized this when I jumped up onto the table just as the infected bear was about to stab me in the chest. I quickly regained my balance before I started to run down the table, the bear behind me. He slashed at me right as I jumped to the next table. I stumbled a bit, but managed to stay standing. My heavy breathing filled my ears as sweat ran down my throat. All the previous times I've done this, it was against Rose. Now this was the real deal.

I did a backflip onto the table behind me as the doctor slashed the air, the blade's whistle filling my ears. I landed on the table as the bear ran towards me. As he slashed the air once more, I did a front flip and landed on his shoulder. I pushed my feet against his back, sending me flying through the air and him down to the table. I landed on the floor a few feet away from him. His hand grasped his blade tightly as he fell to his knees before me.

Not long after, the bear stood up as I tightened my grip on my weapons hilt with both of my hands. He swung his blade towards my face, but my sword blocked it, sending sparks flying. His sharp teeth showed as he brought his face close to mine. With a loud and determined battle cry, I pushed him back with my blade. He went sliding backwards and nearly crashed into the shelves behind him. We were both sweating and breathing heavily.

Now it was my turn to play offense.

I sighed before charging towards the doctor rapidly. I lifted my sword above my head before bringing it down on him. He was quick to roll out of the way and pick up his weapon. Our weapons clashed once more, sending sparks flying again. I sent him flying past me with a swift kick. I quickly spun around on my heel before running towards him and jumping high into the air while being careful as to not hit the ceiling.

Before the infected doctor could get up, my feet met his back with a hard kick. I did another backflip and landed on my feet as he fell face first onto the cold floor. I was breathing heavily as I kicked his weapon away from him before putting my foot on his back to prevent him from getting up. My lips were a thin line as my eyes stared into doctor's red orbs when he moved his head to face me. With a sigh, I spun my sword in a circle before putting it back in its place on my belt. Then, I pulled out the rose gold gun.

I aimed it at his head before I realized that I was going a bit overboard. I didn't want to kill him, not when he had a family of his own to take care of. Something I no longer had. No one deserves to go through what I went through last month. I bit my lip and sighed. I then lowered my weapon from his head to his foot before pulling out bandages from my rucksack. I knew what I was going to do, and that I had to work fast.

With that thought in my head, I pulled the trigger once more.

I took the doctor's roars of pain as my cue to get down on my knees and get to work. Time was working against me. I felt his blood fly and hit my cheek when I shot his foot. I quickly unwrapped the bandages before wrapping them around his foot. After tightening the bandages and cleaning up the blood as best as I could, he fell silent. I grew nervous, but felt relieved when I realized that he simply passed out. I moved to sit down on the chair next to his body as I brushed my fingers along my bloodstained cheek.

I sat there for a few minutes. Once I was sure that the doctor would be okay, I decided to leave and search for Bunny. I struggled to push the cafeteria doors open, but once I did, I began my search.  The second floor of the hospital was worse than the first. While there were also beds scattered around, pipes were barely clinging onto the ceiling. The remnants left here were worse than the ones downstairs. I tried to get my mind off of what happened by looking down at my hands.
