Lucinda's POV:
I had done it.

I had finally accomplished my goal of bringing Mr.P down to his knees before me.

Somehow, after I had showed Mr.P the picture of his wife, we had returned to the actual plant in the blink of an eye. The badger was gone, and Georgie returned in his place. I was looking down at Mr.P as he stared at the ground, his hand clenched and his knees trembling, so close to giving way beneath him. I felt a strange wave of power run through me seeing the person who caused the infection down on his knees, powerless and vulnerable, infront of me. His voice was all it took for me to know how weak he was.

"It's...It's all coming back to me," he stammered before he gazed up at me, tears welling up in his sole eye that remained unharmed, "I'm...I'm sorry." All it took was for me to narrow my eye for him to know what I was asking, what I deserved at this point. He sighed before speaking once more. "I left the hospital with researchers when I thought you were infected, Lucinda," he explained, "They helped me protect myself...and now I look like this." Mr.P looked down at his hands, at his robotic body. "No matter how much they changed me, nothing could protect me from mistakes."

I could hear Georgie's footsteps approaching us from behind. I turned to my left to see him walk up and stand next to me. "Finally, you know we're real!" He fumed, a hint of anger in his voice, "Now, tell us what you did to my family." Mr.P seemed the smallest bit afraid of Georgie since he was quick to answer him. "They wanted to help me with my research..." he replied, but Georgie wasn't having any of it. "You took them away from me, you hurt them!" He retorted.

"Now, I'm going to hurt you."

"Georgie, don't!"

One moment I had been standing next to Georgie. The next, I found myself standing directly behind him, one of my hands on his shoulder while the other kept his arms and bat in their places above his head. "Cindy...?" He murmured, shocked at my actions. I could tell Mr.P was shocked too, and I would've been lying if I told them that I wasn't shocked, as well. With a light sigh, I gently pushed Georgie's hands down and turned him around to face me, my hands on his shoulders.

"Don't do it Georgie," I gently demanded as I tilted my head towards Mr.P, "If you hurt him, you're no better than him. It would only turn you into what you hate the most in him." Georgie didn't seem to believe me at first, but he eventually gave in with a sigh and a small nod. "I...I guess you're right," he mumbled. "You need to leave now. It's not safe here," Mr.P suggested, which caused the two of us to turn back to him as I took my hands off of his shoulders.

"He's right," I chimed in, "This place is infested." Georgie seemed to figure out that our two older companions were outside fending off the army of soldiers he had lured to us, and his face was filled with guilt. That all changed when Mr.P spoke up. "I'll fight the infected here until I dropped, it's time I tried to redeem myself," he suggested. Georgie seemed to agree with the idea without saying anything, but I spoke up, much to my own shock.

"Good luck, Mr.P."

"Let's meet up with Zizzy and Pony," Georgie hesitated as he turned around and started to walk away to the plant's entrance. I, on the other hand, kept still. "Are you coming, Cindy?" I turned to Georgie, who seemed willing to wait for me, then to Mr.P, who seemed to want to tell me something. I chose the latter of the two, and I slowly stepped towards Mr.P before bending down to his height infront of him. Said man seemed shocked at my actions, but silently thanked me.

"I...I want to tell you my story, but you wouldn't believe me," Mr.P mumbled. I remembered the picture of Mrs.P I had in my pocket thanks to the fake one back at the red plant. I reached into the pocket of my sister's trench coat before pulling out the folded picture. I slowly unfolded it before setting it down on the ground and sliding it towards him. He looked from the picture to me with a shocked expression, and I took a deep breath in response.
