⚠️TW!! Blood and gore!!⚠️

Lucinda's POV:
The echo of the metal doors shutting behind me filled my ears.

"GAH!"

I yelped as the first thing I saw infront of me was lasers, similar to the ones at the station. "What the...who puts lasers in a school building?!" I quietly said, "Isn't that illegal?" I looked around the dark school. I quickly turned on my flashlight and moved it around. "This definitely isn't weird at all..." I muttered. Suddenly, a voice from the walkie-talkie startled me. "Meet me in the sewers when you find her!" Mr.P said.

"Okay..." I muttered, "Just find Mr.P's friend and get out of here..." I shrugged. "Shouldn't be too difficult, right?" I asked before walking. The lights were dim and some of them flickered above me. My footsteps echoed throughout the school. I felt a shiver go down my spine and the familiar feeling that I despised returned. The feeling that I wasn't alone. I made a mental note to myself to not let my guard down as I roamed the school's dark halls.

The place looked just as bad as the station. Lockers were knocked down and ripped open. White boards were scattered all over the place. "What happened here...?" I muttered as I looked around. It looked like there was a rush to get out of the school, but what were they running from? Were they running from an infected? If so, then are the infected in here? That must've been why I got the feeling that I wasn't alone.

I pointed my flashlight in different directions. I kept one hand on one of the swords as another gripped my flashlight tightly. Eventually, I found a door, and what I saw on it made me groan. "A green lock? Seriously?!" I asked, "This is the fifth time!" I sighed and shook my head. "Guess I need to find a green key..." I muttered. Then I started to look around. The lights were dim, so I couldn't see much. My vision being slightly blurry and only having half my field made things harder.

Would I have been better off dead?

I could feel myself start to sweat as I looked around, occasionally taking a glance behind me in case someone was there. The feeling that I wasn't alone would never go away. Soon, I managed to find a red and orange key on a bookshelf in the front office. "Hey...I remembered seeing an orange lock around here..." I muttered as I took the orange key and made my way out of the office. I walked down the hallways, being careful as to not make any noise. Soon, I found myself infront of a door with an orange lock.

"Who has the time or will to put these up, and why? Did the school go into lockdown when the infection first broke out?" I asked as I unlocked the door and dropped the key. Inside was the school cafeteria. Everything looked the same, but the only different was the creepy aura that filled the room. I turned to my left to find a bench that had a green key on it. I tip toed over to it before picking up the key. I was about to turn around to leave the cafeteria, but something stopped me. A shiver went down my spine as I knew what it was.

Someone was behind me.

My suspicions were confirmed when someone forcibly turned me around. Their hand went from my arm to my neck as they lifted me up and threw me against the wall harshly. My blurry vision could pick up a dirty purple dress, and a hand that held a ruler tightly. I looked up, only to find a pair of black and yellow eyes covered by glasses staring into mine. I gasped before I felt something slice my neck. I could hear the blood splatter onto the floor.

Why was I constantly getting hurt?

My thought process was interrupted when I was forcefully thrown onto the ground facing downwards. One of my elbows supported my weight while the other hand flew to my throat. Even with my damaged hearing, I could still hear my violent coughs echo throughout the cafeteria. The sound of the key hitting the floor rang in my ears. I could feel myself become nauseous as I saw the splatters of blood on the floor directly below me. I wondered if Mr.P's friend could hear me, wherever they were.
