Russia has a dissociatice identity disorder along with OLD (Obsessive Love Disorder).
He's capable of feeling empathy and love unless people with sociopathy/psychopathy.
He just grows extremely obsessive about those he loves. He believes they are in danger. So he controls their life completely. He usually uses force to make them stay. Like chaining up, being violent to frighten them into staying or just keeping them around him all the time.
For the DID, his personality is split into 2 and he does not know anything that happens during it.
He can be a child and act and think like one or he'd switch to a more adult personality with a soft layer above and an extremely violent, sadistic person below.
He's also in no interest to go into therapy to get help. He is scared of it.
