Now of course, he has very little canon content. But hear me out:

When he was burnt, he survived.
He was weak and barely able to breath, but he lived. The survivors of his order kept him alive at any cost and fled with him near Edinburgh.
Scotland gave them protection and actually punched a motherf!cker that wanted to search through his land for the remaining survivors.

Scotland was at that time (around 1370) not yet Christian. Or not entirely. So he very well would've punched these motherf!cker.

However, Knights Templar eventually regained his former physical condition while being surprisingly well parented by Scotland. England would be offended now.
Eventually, Gabriel became the Masonic Order.
It took centuries until Gabriel trusted himself to go into the public again.
It was actually around 1760. He got wind of the Kingdom of Prussia.
And then he was begging Scotland to let him meet him.

But their reunion was in 1991. Gabriel was adult and no longer obliged to listen to Scotland.
He travelled to Berlin and looked for Prussia. He didnt know Germany, so he was surprised seeing him.
