Berlin

He has heavy PTSD because of WW2 and the Cold war.
In WW2 he was more than once the only one returning of his battalion.
Watching his comrades - his friends - getting shot, explode into pieces, and having to leave them behind, knowing the enemy catches up, made him broken.
The expectations by Hitler pushed him to hide his emotions and express them through anger and violence.
Near Hitler's death and the clearer defeat Germany's, Berlin suffered a stroke at the end.

In the cold war he was pushed by America and Russia to spy for them.
America pushed him always to talk about the GDR. Berlin had to thing twice each time what he says.
Russia usually tries to first come with usually questions. If he feels Berlin doesn't tell everything, he starts threatening. And then they torture him. Berlin began answering usually when he started with the threats after he was tortured twice.
And so they use him both as a spy while Berlin is mentally at the bottom trying to repair but two Hammers keep on hitting his progress.

He still suffers Paranoia by knowing someone watches him. He doesn't feel save in his own house. Every single state, that was part of the GDR (Thuringia, Brandenburg, Berlin, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Prussia) suffered to some extent Paranoia, anxiety, panic attacks and depression.
