China was born as a girl and raised like one. When China got into contact with other nations he was forced to dress and act like a man as his emperors believe a woman shouldn't be shown to represent a nation.
He had struggles switching between genders and it messed him up.
The first time another country was told was when China and England married. China became a housewife and he hated it.
He goes by any pronouns without any preference and he really couldnt care less whether you use only he/him, or she,her or they/them or neopronouns.
