Lena decended the stairs in a floor length, scarlet silk dress with a matching sash hooked around her upper arms at her elbows; she figured that showing all of her tattoos would draw some unwanted attention and decided on the article of clothing last minute. The dress had thin straps and her heels were the same fiery colour - her neck was laden with a golden necklace, dangling earrings and her usual nose ring and studs.
Despite her growing concerns, she hid it well and allowed Lila to loop her braid into a knot at the back of her head, a couple of wavy strands still hanging down beside her face to frame it neatly.
Her eyes fell on Five immediately - he had initially insisted he didn't need to change his outfit but the woman coming to stand in front of him wouldn't allow it - they had never been to any sort of fancy gig together and even if they were undercover and scouting for Sir Reginald Hargreeves, she would be dammed if they let the opportunity go to waste.
Plus, he looked incredible in a suit.
He stood in black and white all except his navy blue tie, similar to his regular uniform one but silkier. His hands were in his pockets but when he heard the sound of her heels tapping along the floor in approach he removed them and straightened his back.
His eyes scanned her appearance up and down a few times before finally meeting hers when she came to a stop right in front of him.
"And to think you insisted on staying in those shorts." Lena mused in a voice of silk, angling her head to the side playfully.
"What, you don't like the uniform?" He commented playfully.
"I like you in anything," she responded easily, winking before taking his hand in her own and leading him out the door.
He followed her without question, eyes naturally falling on her back and the long scar that stretched across her spine, down below the fabric of her dress. It was disrupted by the various designs in black ink that he had come to know by heart; every line, every dot of shading, every pattern and possible meaning. One of them, a geometric pattern right between her shoulder blades had been split in half by the scar.
She was so put together that even her scar matched the one on her face, faded now but still present and slightly lighter than her natural skin shade. And if anything, it made her look even more alluring.
Lila wolf whistled when she laid eyes on her and albeit her doubts, she had grinned back at the woman who had on a silky turquoise gown, her hair straightened for once.
Diego had nudged her. "She's a married woman."
He appeared amused. They all did, save for Five who rolled his eyes and told them all to hurry up.
By the time they arrived at the large stone building, classical music drifted in the air from the inside. The high glass windows were stunning, emitting soft golden glows of the lights within.
