On their way back to the Hotel, Lena had chewn her nails to near nothing. There was a metallic taste on her tongue that she kept ignoring as she bit the side of her thumbnail, leg bouncing up and down rapidly as she stared out into nothing.

Five and her had looked through the book that Klauses aunt had given him.

Frankly, she wanted to puke, but she didn't think Five would appreciate it as he drove.

When they got out, Five demanded Klaus go get the others for a meeting down at the bar.

The entire time, Lena and Five exchanged glances, both of their heads filled with the same anxieties and uncertainties. The only difference was that he was more discrete with showing it on the outside.

She poured herself a full shot of tequila and backed it as soon as she sat down.

Five placed the book between them and leant on the bar as the others finally came down to see what was going on.

"You okay?" Viktor asked Lena, noticing her fidgeting and blank stare at the bar top.

She snapped herself out of it and placed her hands in her lap, forcing a fake smile that she wasn't sure Viktor quite believed. She nodded with a hum, glancing to Five as he began to address them all.

"Where's- wheres Luther?" He asked.

They all glanced around at eachother cluelessly.

"Haven't seen him."

"Who knows?"

"Someone can fill him in later," Lena rushed out, pouring herself another shot in the hopes it would dull her nerves. "Tell them."

"Tell us what?" Allison folded her arms and narrowed her eyes accusingly over at Five.

He splayed his hands out, just getting to the point. "We have bigger issues to worry about right now."

"Like what?" Diego frowned.

"Like this."

Lena flipped the old tattered journal open and slid it forwards so everyone could see the newspaper clippings inside. She pulled them out and spread them across the surface, hesitating on the last one, but placing it out all the same.

She couldn't help but stare down at the womans darker skin, her curly hair wrapped in a floral piece of fabric, a bright smile on her face as she held onto a basket of fruit at her hip. She had hoop earrings and dimples, looking so young.

Her chest burned and Lena knew it wasn't the alcohol.

They all circled in, staring at them in question.

"Who are they?" Viktor asked.

"These are our mothers."

Klaus pointed proudly, "that ones mine!"
