"Mtcheww, " I hissed, exploding into my room.

As if I knew the so called family meeting will be about peace living as a family.

I look around my room.

It was a sight to behold.

From the ceiling which were painted white, to the floors that were in a coffee brown carpet. The walls were decked in a cobalt blue wall paper. Blue is my best colour. My dressing table, nightstand and some other fitnture were white in colour, and my curtains were silver and tapered with hot pink linen.

My bed was at the end of the room and it had a huge picture of me over it. My dressing table was to the left and the walk in closet next to it. My mini  parlour was to the right just at the entrance. I equally had a fridge that was in the parlour.

My reading table was opposite the right of my bed, at the inner end of the room.

My bathroom was equally at the right hand side of the room, almost near the parlour and my reading table.

I decided to call my babes when there was nothing to do. I was bored...

They pick up immediately.

"Hey babes, " I say lying on my bed and facing the ceiling.

"Hey Lilly, how you de now?" Nancy was the first to reply.

"I dee oo, Tessa how far na?"

"Fine, I just got back from church, "

"Me too," I add.

After gisting about so many things, the topic then changes to Lemuel.

"Do you know I even saw him in church?" I relayed, with a small smile.

"Really?" Nancy and Tessa said at the same time.

"Apparently, yes but is that why una won chop me?"

Tessa hissed loudly. "Who won chop You? As you big reach," she joked and that got me and Nancy laughing.

"Whatever, forget about Lemuel. Any other gist?"

My ears were wide open to receive anything.

"Nothing oo, everywhere is dry and we are all waiting for NYSC, " Nancy answers sniffing in a little.

"Guys I've to  go."

"Ok, bye."

A maid was sent to call me for lunch and not leave without me coming with her.

Lunch was a meal of jollof, fried rice, salad and grilled turkey with pepper stew. We had several fruit juices to step it down.

I was digging into the lap of my turkey when a call came in for Lemuel.

Wrong timing.

I immediately reject his call, he calls me again and I reject it again.

The phone rings again after two seconds. Ogini di. Can't you see that I don't want to talk to you.

"You know, you should take his call Lilly," Jason suggests, chewing his food stylishly.

"What call?" I pretend, quirking my brows at him as I go to my call options and pick, 'can't talk now, later.'

"I bet it's the handsome dude calling," Cynthia beams with smile giving me a look of 'you're so lucky'.

"Speaking of which Lilly, " my dad dropped his fork and wiped the side of his mouth with a napkin. "What is going on between you and Richard's son?"

Jeez, my family and amebo.

"Nothing dad," I snapped immediately and faced my food.

That wasn't a lie.

"Are you sure?"

I looked up to see Mabel smirking and digging into her turkey as she shoved a piece of it into her mouth.

I just eyed her in frustration. What home of question is that.

My dad kept staring at me intensely. God I need defence, I prayed silently, in my head.

"Ehen, so what?" My mom cut in with a raise of her voice. "Lilly is not a kid any more, plus this is not the first time she's going out with a man. She should be talking of marriage. "

The last part wasn't necessary.

"One needs to be careful with those guys out there. They can't be trusted, " Tamara said, with a shake of her head.

Who called this one na?

My mom shot her a death glare immediately. That's right, give it to her mama. Next was a taunting look and a look of disgust followed as my mom eyed her.

Tamara just buried her face in her glass of juice, staring at it to hide the hurt on her face.

I felt really uncomfortable right now. My relationship with Lemuel was now a round table talk over lunch by my family.

My dad noticed my countenance. "That's okay guys, Lilly will make the right choice."

Thanks dad.

"And remember that sex is not opinion, " he added with a stern look.

I had done it already.

If only he knew.
