I got dragged out of Charlie's house by Lemuel after I had an argument with Simi. I was just passing by the bar of the house when I eavesdropped on Simi asking Lemuel why I didn't like her. She kept complaining bitterly and giving him instances when I had treated her badly, right from the very first time.

My craziness took charge of me. I don't know what entered into me but I flared up immediately and walked in on them.

"How dare you?" I screamed on top of my voice, placing my hands on my waist. My scream attracted attention and everyone rushed to scene I created.

I panted heavily because so much energy was released from my body.
"How dare you talk bad about me to my boyfriend?"

Then I stopped, looked up at her then to Lemuel who was almost shielding her with his body.

I blinked.  "Oh!" I nodded my head still glaring at her and keeping my hands on my waist.

"I should have known, that you want to snatch my boyfriend away from me. So your man is not enough for you.?" By this time, my anger started to die down then my tear glands took over.

I was now playing victim. "How would you feel if you were in mh shoes?" I sniffled, forcing out more tears. Then I sat on the floor, with my legs spread and I started to rub my tommy.

"Lemuel you were going to leave me for her."My gaze shifted to a confused, frustrated and tired Lemuel.  "I'm carrying our baby." I pointed out. "You couldn't even fight for me." I went into a pool of tears.

Nancy and Charlie were just staring at me and Deji ran to his fiancee to see if she was okay.

And I, I was left on the floor to cry my eyes out.

After sometime of me crying, Lemuel finally decided to help me stand. He did that because he regained consciousness and Charlie told him to take me home, that I needed rest.

He helped me up by placing his two hands under my shoulder. Then he slowly lifted me. When he did that, he made sure to hold me as he led me outside, saying goodbye to our friends.

Our car was parked right in front of the yard. So Lemuel got the door for me, fastened my seat belt and closed the door. He got in next to me and just started to drive.

Nobody said anything. We were now strangers.

The cool breeze from the air conditioner calmed my headache and temper. I closed my eyes, resting my head on the window as I listened to the soft music playing.

When the song was done, I raised my head to look at Lemuel. I couldn't help but stare for so long. He already has so much to do at the office and I just added to his troubles. I couldn't help but feel guilty when I noticed the eyebags under his eye, his stubble which was almost growing into beards. His eyes were red, showing signs of tiredness. Lemuel was too tired to even say anything about my dramatic behaviour.

I got interrupted by a text message from Mabel.

'I really thought I should let you know even if mom was against it. The thing is... Jason has been sick for a while and we've been running in and out of the hospital. The doctors can't seem to place their hands on the problem. Pls pray for us. We love you and we need you more.'

My heart rate spiked. My phone fell out of my hands to the floor. Lemuel glanced at me, then continued to look at the road.

What caught his attention was when I started to have shortness of breath. I was never asthmatic. He kept on driving, I guess he was not sure if it was real or me faking it.

I lost control. "Lemuel stop this car!" I banged the dashboard thrice and then the car made a sharp turn to the right side of the road. It came to a screeching halt, when Lemuel stepped on the brakes.
