Breakfast with my family was the usual. My mom had gone out for her society meeting, Tamara to the spa and of course, the men were already at work.

This was the perfect time to talk to Mabel.

I needed an elder sister's advice because I felt pressured. I was starting to feel uncertain even though my heart was still firm on its feelings.

Exhaling, I mustered up courage to knock on Mabel and Jason's apartment.

"Come in," she shouted and I peeled one of the large doors open.

Their room was like another planet in sky house. Actually it had a bell.

Can you imagine living in an exquisite three bedroom flat inside a mansion. That was Mabel and Jason's room, or is it their house?

They converted three rooms in the house for themselves because they said they wanted their privacy. Mabel's idea.

I chuckled when I looked around and saw some changes. Their parlour now had a Korean - Italian setting. The floors were made of wooden stuff that was brown, royal blue Italian cushions. The walls were painted white and I wondered why they chose that colour, Junior was an artist who works on walls. Their curtains were royal blue tapered with lilac.

Blue, that was mabel's best colour. One thing we actually agreed on.

And as it was supposed to be, there were pictures hanged on the wall. A piano, a bar, their dining was at the other side.

I entered into the hallway and the first room by the left was theirs, it was wide open so I walked in. Actually all the rooms in the hallway were and I wonder why.

"Hey, " She walked into the closet with some folded clothes.

I helped myself myself by sitting on the bed. A large king sized bed that was white. They gave their room black marble tiles grey wallpaper and brown blinds. What a combination. My brothers best colour is brown, black and grey.

He's a mad man.

I start folding some clothes to help her and she shook her head in disapproval.

"Don't touch!" She shouts, and I drop the clothes in fear.

I clutched my chest tightly in fear.

Guess what,  Mabel burst out laughing.

She is a drama queen.

"Oh my god, hahaha. You need to look at yourself. You look like someone who's about to die. Look, she's even sweating. "

I frowned.

"Sorry, ah ah. But you needed to see yourself. "

I scowled and she gave a serious face plopping into the bed right opposite me.

"So what is it this time?" She folded her arms.

She knew me too well.

I didn't know where to start from.

"Na boy matter, abi. "

When I didn't say anything she smirked.

"So you won't tell anyone right."

"Jeez, Lilly. You know I am not a blabbermouth like Cynthia. No one will know, I promise. "

She made a sign of zipping  her lips.

When I didn't seem convinced.

"I cross my heart," and then she really crossed it.

My face lightened and a bit and I adjusted. She adjusted too and crossed her legs in while she tucked the strands of her hair behind her ears.
