3rd person p.o.v:

We were now having dinner, every one took thier seats. Lemuel's dad was at the head of the table with his mom by his left. Lemuel sat by his right hand with Lilly next to him and then Chisom and her fiance. Anna sat next to my mom with her husband while Charlie sat at the other end of the table.

Lilly was so surprised when she saw Charlie. She didn't know that he was this close to the Daniels. She felt like she was left in the dark and for some reason she was starting to feel like she didn't know her best friend anymore.

She continuously fiddled with her fork and managed to shove some food unto her mouth even though it took her time to eat. She wasn't really hungry.

All she did was play with her food as she wished her family could be like this for once.

The Daniels were chatty people at the dining. They kept laughing and talking. All that Lilly could hear in her head was the clicking of their fork on their plates and their melodic voices.

Lemuel's mom squealing over Chisomaga's fiance. Maybe it's because he's Yoruba.

Lemuel just zoned out for seconds, in his own world as he kept wondering what the hell was happening.

Why was he back?

And this time in Chisomaga's life?

He fumed with rage and he was ready  to kill the bastard but he didn't want to ruin the perfect family moment.

"Lilly you're not eating. Do you not like the food?"Benita remarked with a look of embarrassment.

Lemuel looked to Lilly's side hastily. She was confused and speechless as she looked at Benita with blank expression.

"She's fine, just shy." Lemuel spoke up immediately for her.

"You gotta feel free you know," Annabel urged and rubbed her tommy.

"By the way Lemuel, your gift is beautiful." Richard spoke up.

Richard never spoke unnecessarily, only at the right time. He isn't a stern man but a disciplined man. As nice as he can be he never spoke too many words. His actions spoke instead.

"Thanks dad."

Lilly noticed that something was up too with Lemuel, he seemed distracted.

"So I think we should do wedding in September. "

All eyes were fixed in Annabel who simply sipped her glass of red wine.

Chisomaga returned Anna's gesture with an eyeroll. She knew this were the kind of things her sister liked.

"We're looking at January. " Chisom said, as she shoved a piece of meat into her mouth from ber fork.

"That's too far," Benita remarked as her big eyes jumped out of their sockets.

"I guess we should let them so their thing, it's thier wedding. " Lemuel retorted a bit harsh.

"Yeah, it's their wedding. " Charlie added.

He and Lemuel seemed to think the same way always.

"Nah," Anna disagreed with a raise of her index finger. "It's our wedding." She corrected, in pride.

Lilly just chuckled internally, I bet she found this family amusing.

"My family amuses you?" Lemuel asked with a whisper.

"They do." She smiled.

Lemuel's mom was about to say something when her husband gave her a sign and she knew what that meant. 'Let them be.'
