I can't believe my dad would kick me out.

I love my dad, I really love him. And I know that I failed him. I shouldn't have spoken to him in that manner too.

If kicking me out was the best punishment, then I would accept it with the whole of my heart. As long as he would forgive me and take me back as his daughter.

"I love you dad." I confessed when he was about to climb the stairs. I didn't say that so he would change his mind but because I really meant it.

My dad stopped in his tracks, he didn't look back at me and then he started climbing the stairs.

Once he climbed he was no where in sight I climbed the stairs and made my way to my room.

I opened my wardrobe, I had so many clothes that I had not even worn. I dragged the clothes out of the hanger and threw them into my box. Just a portable box. I wasn't sure how long I was going to be staying, but I knew I would need some shoes and bags, so I packed some too. I threw my cosmetics and toiletries into the bag. When I was done parking my things I zipped up the box and sank into my bed.

"Lilly where will you go?" Nancy asked. Her face was so dull. I knew she was feeling bad for me and guilty as well.

I shrugged. "I'll find a place."

Tessa hissed slowly and lowly. "I'm sorry things turned out like this. I'm really sorry." She almost cried.

I waved my hands in dismissal. "It okay." I waved it off and stood to my feet.

"Guys I have to go."

"Okay let's help you with your bags." Nancy suggested and Tessa gripped the handle of my box.

Nancy collected my beach bag from me and carried it.

They followed me out of my room, Tessa had so much difficulty moving myg box.

Then we bumped into Mabel at the door.

"Lilly where are you going?"

I let out a breath. "I'm leaving."

"What!" She screamed startled. "You can't be serious. Listen, dad doesn't mean any of the things he said." She touched my arm.

I licked my lips slowly. "Maybe he doesn't or he does. I have to do what he says. It's best for me."

Mabel ran her hands over her face tiredly and placed her fingers on her chin.

"Where will you go?"

I shrugged nonchalantly. "My baby's father."

Mabel hissed, frustrated. "I don't know why things will turn out this way. I didn't expect dad to react this way. It's a whole lot of shit. This family is a mess."

I nodded my head. "Yeah, fix it before I get back." I joked and made my way downstairs.

Mabel chuckled and followed after me.

"Ok guys."

I waved at them when they dropped my bags in front of my car.

"Ode!" Tessa feigned anger "Come and hug us joor!"

I chuckled and slowly ran into their arms.

We hugged for some seconds and pulled away.

Then I hugged mg elder sister. Feeling warmth in her arms.

"I'm gonna miss this house." I looked around.

It was true when they said that there is no place like home. No matter how imperfect or annoying that family may be, home is still the best place to be.
