LEMUEL

I entered the kitchen to grab a bottle of water because I had just had my morning run. Lilly was still sleeping, of course; she really sleeps a lot.

Living with her has been cool and much more fun than I imagined. We would have our fights, our love play around the house, cook together, play video games, she would watch me work out sometimes. And then on the weekends we would go on dates and spend time together.

Our baby was growing fine. She is doing well and she hasn't kicked at all.

I spun my head around when I perceived a familiar scent.

I stood still, really suprised to see my mom in my house by this time.

She looked at me from head to toe, scrutinizing me and I looked at her from head to toe too.

"You can't greet abi?" She eyed me and placed her hands on her waist.

I rolled my eyes slowly, for her not to notice and closed the bottled water.

"Good morning mummy." I smiled and she smiled too, spreading her arms out to me.

"Omo mi! My handsome son! Omo dada!" She praised me and patted my head.

I blushed and released myself from my firm grip, then I headed to the fridge and cupboards in search of what to prepare for breakfast.

"She eti jeun? My mom asked hovering around me as reached for an egg in the fridge.

"Rara, I am just waking up." I added and broke the egg into a plate.

"By the way, what brings you here?" I break another egg and turn to my mom who had her back against the kitchen island.

She sighed and folded her arms.

"Chisomaga didn't tell you?"

I furrowed my eyes and tried to check my memory for any information but I remembered to Chisom for a while.

"Nooo." I replied.

She face palmed herself and unwrapped a loaf of bread, taking two slices for herself.

Before you answer my question ni?

I just turned to continue what I was doing. I started to chop the onions and I heard my mom tie the bread.

"Well..." She finally began.

One thing about my mom is that she likes to test ones patience and she can be really problem.

"We wanted to have family dinner with our in-laws, you know a way to know each other before the wedding."

I itched my jaw for a while and heated the cooker.

"So why my house? Why not your house?"

My mom hissed and dropped her bread on the saucer.

"Why can't it be your house? Is she not your sister? Besides............" My mom trailed off.

She clapped dramatically. "He he!" She laughed hysterically.

I turned and followed her gaze to see what amused her.

Oh shit!

Lilly was standing, her back facing the door.

"Tani eleyi? You are still sleeping around. Kilode?! Kilode!? When will you change?"
