LILLY

We wasted quite a lot if time waiting for the kid and when I beheld them it was worth the wait. Jewell always dresses up like she's thirteen bit her sister is more of a beauty queen, then she is a model or pop star or tomboy.

Now we were on our way to a park that I didnt even know about in Lemuel's Rolls Royce.

The drive was dry and rather hectic beacuse of the usual Lagos traffic. The kids were not helping with their constant demands and complains. Each time I  stole a glance at Lemuel I knew he was having a hard time beacuse he would clench his jaw and tighten his grip on  the steering, honestly, the kids were annoying.

"I need to pee." Josh cried out and I looked back at him with a sigh of exasperation.

"Josh but you just did a pee not too long ago." I creased my brow in worry.

We were on the highway, there wasn't even any hidden place for convenience.

"And I need to see again."

I scoffed and snapped my head up to look at Lemuel who kept his face straight up on the road.

"Lemuel did hear that? He wants to pee." I pointed at Josh and that earned me a harsh glare from Lemuel.

What the hell is wrong with him?

I looked up at him irritated and pushed my back to the chair relaxing against it lazily.

"I want to pee!" Josh persisted and I couldn't help but worry, but I had no say because I wasn't the one driving.

"He's going to pee on himself!" Jewell shouted her eyes shooting up.

Then the car came to a screeching halt. I studied Lemuel for a while and I really couldn't understand the reason for his mood being soiled.

I undid my seatbelt slowly not breaking eye contact before I opened the door. I helped Josh out and when he was done we continued our journey.

It was a bit better this time because of the lesser demands and the kids were able to focus on their iPads.

I closed my eyes slowly and drifted off to sleep, facing Lemuel when the atmosphere seemed peaceful. I was sleeping mainly because the ride was dry.

I woke up to the soft taps on my skin and I saw a blurry image of Lemuel. I yawned lazily, itching my eyes and I got a clearer view of Lemuel.

I alighted the car without waiting for Lemuel to get the door, majorly because I was angry at him.

The kids were already out side the car, getting their things from the boot.

"Did you guys get your things?"

"Yes aunty." Two replied me and the other had her attention on her phone.

We walked into the park and paid our gate fee. The kids walked in front of us eating their cone ice creams.

We let the kids run off slowly to have fun as we had our own private time.

"Now I know why I Anna needs a break." I folded my arms as I watched the kids run  around slowly, and rush to the roller coaster.

I and Lemuel followed after them slowly.

"Those kids are rascals, I'm not sure I can cope with kids."

I stopped walking. "What do you mean?" I narrowed my eyes at Lemuel, my  curiosity getting the best of me.

Lemuel looked away and tried to shy away from the answer I needed.

He looked uneasy and he broke eye contact.

"I mean I don't want to have kids." He said nervously, his hands diving into his pockets.

I was stunned.

This is the biggest surprise I've ever got all my life.

The man I love doesn't want to have kids and I love kids, infact, I'm ready to be a mother.

I stood there transfixed, watching the crowd around me. Everything seemed like a movie.

"Hey Lilly, there is a roller coaster. Let's go ride." I felt a grip by my wrist and I looked at Lemuel, who whisked me away.

We stopped once we were in front of the merry go rounds and looked at Lemuel wondering why we stopped.

He shook his head positively and I saw the look in his eyes. I laughed when I saw that he was scared of roller coasters.

"Jesus! Oh God! You keep giving me the best surprises. First, you don't want to have kids, and now, you're afraid of a roller coaster." I laughed hard, amused.

"Tell me Lemuel. What else do I not know." I whispered, bringing my face closer to his.

His body tensed and I smiled, knowing that I had him under control.

"Everything baby, you know everything. Just the last too." His breath itched as my lips hovered around his neck.

I brought my lips closer to his lips and parted it, licking his lower lip as I pulled on it softly with my teeth. That earned a groan from him.

Then I kissed his lips once and when he wanted to respond, I pulled away.

"Lemuel we are here to have fun, not make out." I looked at him and be seemed taken aback.

Without wasting a second, I dragged him to the nearest seat, which was taken by our family. The other side was empty.

When the ride started, Lemuel screamed, holding unto me tightly. I wanted to laugh but I couldn't because of his tight grip. The kids were laughing though and that motivated me to chuckle.

When the ride was over, Lemuel jumped out immediately and I let a boisterous laughter.

"You should see yourself right now. I love this side of you. I wish I took a picture." I slapped his cheek gently. I squeezed his cheek playfully, and I reached to kiss him on that spot.

I whisked him away, my arm linked with his as we headed to thed ice cream stand for a second round of ice cream. I had two scoops of chocolate with whipped cream. The kids had strawberry while I just had water. I was on my second cup and that was quite strange. Lately, I have been having cravings.

Next thing was to the games. I and Lemuel stood at a point, watching the kids play.

"Your kids look so much like you." A male passersby and Lemuels face twisted into a frown but he didn't bulge.

This was the fifth person saying this today. "Thank you." I squeezed his palm smiling.

When the person left, I turned to Lemuel.

"You see, you better start  getting ready because they want us to be parents." I smirked.

Lemuel chuckled and we all headed to the mat to go have lunch.
