We were here, finally.

Once we alighted his car, he led me to his parents.

Even though it was night, you couldn't help but notice the beauty of this house.

The event was already in commencement. I would call it an evening party.

Only slow, soft music, and chattering of people could be heard.

The party was lit. The decorations and the setting. It was actually taking place outside, just in front of their house. There were colourful lights to illuminate the venue, with some flowers vases which were positioned at strategic point. There was a stage too. Mostly purple and gold were the colours of the day.

I bet his junior sister put some work into this.

As we made our way through the crowd I noticed the aura around most people that spoke money. Their dressing and perfumes choked the air.

At the other side of the hall were lined several kind of delicacies that consisted of Nigerian dishes, small chops, desserts, and intercontinental dishes on a table. It was banquet, every one had the privilege of serving themselves.

I sighted some people who really looked different tonight.

They must be the celebrants.

Lemuel just confirmed it when he stopped right before them.

I was really nervous so my palms were sweating. The tension started to build up and I couldn't help but start the lip work.

When Lemuel noticed that he just squeezed my palm to reassure me and sent me one of those smiles.

That calmed me down.

They were beautiful, a perfect match made in heaven.

His mom was dressed in gold, his dad too in gold.

I don't even know the right word to describe her.

She is perfect.

Her cloth only made her look more breathtaking. The perfect lace, was used to a sew a nice fitting gown. Then she completed the look with her gele, purse and heel sandals.

I just had to notice the necklace that rested on her chest because of its sparkling nature. I bet it is diamond.

His dad was a tall dark and handsome man in fifties and he was dressed in a gold senator wear. Oh and I can't miss the fact that he had a golden chain on.

Hmm. Fresh dad with swag.

"Good evening mom, good evening dad. " Lemuel's mom pulled him into her arms immediately and I saw that the hug was really choking.

"Good evening ma and sir. " I greeted, bending like a Yoruba girl.

I wanted to make a good first impression.
