♪ Dabin (ft. RUNN) - Alive: 'So darling, why don't we get high on love and let it in? Feel the flood of everything. Oh, of everything tonight, surrender 'til it's all too much. I'm givin' in to the rush. No, I've never been Oh, I've never been so alive'
Fiona was awake really early the next morning. After she ended the call with Madeleine the previous evening, she decided to call the number in the email to set up an appointment to go collect the keys and sign the lease papers for her apartment and to her surprise, they could even get it done today. So naturally, once the sunlight hit the blinds in her room, Fiona sat up straight in bed and wanted to get started on one of the most important days of her life so far. Her parents were joining her on the trip over to Oxford, to see the apartment and her dad wanted to read the lease contract before she signed it. Madeleine was meeting her there afterwards, to go shopping for some furniture and necessities. After packing her laptop, a few items of clothes and some toiletries in a bag, not really sure where she was staying tonight, Fiona quickly picked out an outfit that was suitable for an apartment viewing, shopping and also some celebratory drinks.

She ended up picking out a sage green, silk maxi skirt with a wide flowy top. She styled it with her white sneakers, golden necklace and some earrings and her sparkly purse. Fiona's hair was still wavy from the bun it had been in while she was asleep so she quickly brushed through it and added some light makeup to her face. Her parents were already eating their breakfast when she came downstairs and Fiona joined them with her bowl of cereal. "Are you excited, darling?" Her mom Eveline asked and even though she tried really hard to hide it, the smile on her face only grew bigger. "Yes. I'm so glad that I don't have to drive an hour and a half to work anymore every single day". Fiona answered, but her mom's face fell.
"You know I will come over to visit you as much as I can, right?" She quickly asked, knowing her mom was going to worry about that. Fiona was their only child, so it must be hard for them to let her move out on her own. "Besides, I want to eat your roast dinner at least once a week, so you're not getting rid of me that easily". They all chuckled and before they knew it, it was time to go. Fiona cleared the bowls off the table, grabbed her phone, keys and purse and followed her parents outside. She got in her own car, while her parents followed her in their car. Fiona connected her phone to the Bluetooth and started playing one of her favourite songs from her Spotify playlist, this was going to get a whole different meaning to her now.
'Sometimes it feels like I don't belong here. Roots can't take hold 'cause I didn't fit. Can't see the way out through all my tears, I know they always say to hold on for better days. I didn't think that I could make it. Came close to givin' up every day. The fact I'm here is kind of amazing. Funny how destiny brought out the best of me'
About an hour into their journey, Fiona's phone rang again. Looks like the car was her phone call spot these last few days. After she answered the call without looking who it was, Fiona felt her heart sink into her stomach when she heard Miles' voice. "So you're not coming then?" He didn't even greet her and Fiona was actually getting sick of his attitude. "No, I'm on my way to Oxford to pick up the keys to my own apartment, so I can't make it, unfortunately". She said and even though he was unavoidably getting mad at her, she couldn't get the smile off her face when she told him that. "Your own apartment?! Have you actually lost your mind?! And when did you plan on telling me that?" He started raising his voice.
