Boy In Space - Drown:
'Watch me as my world burns down, you kicked me down and stole my crown. Though my heart is telling me to go, I just gotta let you know that you sunk my ship and then you let me drown. And the world cries out tonight, like a howling wind piercing through my skin, I'll be alright. No, we'll never be again, oh'

When her alarm woke her up, Fiona slowly opened her eyes. They felt heavy, not only because she was tired but the emotional evening with George last night really took a toll on her. She wasn't sad, she was in fact very happy but it was the first time in three years she had properly thought about the death of her grandma since her ex-boyfriend didn't allow her to talk about it so all the built-up feelings got released at once. Her hand automatically went to her neck and she felt the dainty necklace on her skin. It had been the most thoughtful gifts she had ever received but what she appreciated the most was the thought and effort that went into it.

She felt George roll over and before she knew it, his arm snuck its way around her waist. "Good morning, sleepyhead. We need to get up.." She said, leaning back into his touch. George grunted softly and Fiona would have loved nothing more than to be able to stay in this bed with him all day. But it was media day, even though it was a Wednesday, so they had to get going. Monaco weekend meant things were done a bit differently and it caused their weekend to be extended by one day. "I'm going to get ready and pack my stuff quickly. Please make sure you wake up, okay?" Fiona said before she turned around in his embrace and gave him a small peck on his lips.

After leaving the bed, she looked at her boyfriend who was still peacefully asleep and she smiled. He looked so cute and she truly didn't understand what she had done to deserve a guy like him. Shaking the thoughts from her head, Fiona headed into the bathroom to take a quick shower and afterwards she applied a minimal amount of makeup, packing up her toiletries as she went on. Her suitcase was already half-packed, she only needed to add the stuff she was using this morning and she chuckled when she spotted George in the same spot as where she left him.

"Babe, do you think I will do good in your car this weekend? Because it seems like you don't want to go". Fiona giggled when she spotted the look of confusion on his face and finally he opened his eyes. "We need to be out the door in fifteen minutes, come on". She said and it had the desired effect because George immediately sat up straight. Fiona took her suitcase to the living room where she stuffed it with the last pieces she needed before she headed over to the kitchen to make them both some quick breakfast. Five minutes later, George walked into the room, his hair wet on his head and he was barely dressed, but Fiona was glad he was out of bed at all.

They ate their yoghurt, made sure every appliance in her apartment was turned off and headed out the door. George drove them to the airport where they were just in time for their flight to Monaco. Fiona was happy to be able to see all of her colleagues again, even though she saw a lot of them throughout the week already and before she knew it, they landed in the South of France where they would be picked up by vans to take them to their hotel in Monaco. "Do you want to have a tourist day on Friday?" Maddie said when they arrived in their room. They had Friday off because the practices were pushed forward to tomorrow.

"Yeah, sure! Sounds like fun!" Fiona agreed while she unpacked the uniforms in her suitcase. The girls talked about last night, Fiona telling her best friend about the surprise George had for her when she got home and she showed Maddie her necklace. "I saw it on Instagram, it is literally the cutest thing anyone has ever done!" Her blonde friend said and the girls cooed at her boyfriend's cuteness for a while before they were expected to be at the track. 'Here we go,' Fiona thought 'My first Monaco Grand Prix weekend'.

----

The first two practices went pretty well, the boys enjoyed being back on the street circuit and Fiona hadn't been able to fathom how many famous people attended this race. Even on Thursday, it had been crowded with actors, athletes, models and other famous people. Because of the small size of the circuit, the paddock had been packed and the hospitality unit was filled to the brim with special guests. The girls, however, enjoyed the special feeling this weekend had and Fiona couldn't wait to see who she was going to show around tomorrow.
