Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars:
'All that I am, all that I ever was. Is here in your perfect eyes, they're all I can see. I don't know where, confused about how as well. Just know that these things will never change for us at all. If I lay here, if I just lay here. Would you lie with me and just forget the world?'

Fiona was rushing through her bedroom, trying to figure out what to wear to her aunt's wedding. She had changed into every dress she owned and her bedroom looked like an absolute state. George was coming to pick her up in half an hour when she took off yet another dress, not happy with the colour of this one. Luckily she had already done her makeup and hair, so it was just the outfit that kept bothering her. Eventually, she went back to the very first dress she had pulled out of her closet and held it up in the air to look at it again. It was a silk beige dress with orange tiger stripes she bought a few days ago and she loved the way this fitted her. Spotting the clock in the corner of her eye, Fiona decided this was going to be the one and she quickly changed into it, adding some beige heels to her feet.

The wedding was going to be indoors, so Fiona didn't bother trying to find a jacket that matched when she searched for her smallest purse. She stuffed it with her bank card, her phone, keys and the lipstick she was wearing and walked over to the window in her apartment to check if George had arrived yet. A few minutes later, she spotted his Mercedes sports car driving around the corner of her street and she grabbed her purse to head downstairs. When she opened the front door of her building, she saw George standing outside the car, typing away on his phone. He looked incredibly handsome in a beige suit, with a dark belt and black shoes and Fiona swallowed hard before she walked up to him.

She cleared her throat when she stood in front of him and his eyes slowly lifted from his screen. "I was just texting yo-.. Oh, wow.." He said when he finally looked at her. "You look gorgeous". George said and he slipped his phone in his trouser pocket before he stepped to close the gap between them, allowing Fiona to hug him. "You look pretty good yourself". She giggled when he walked to open the car door for her. Fiona immediately remembered the first time she had been in this car when she was almost fainting from her period cramps. She sat down and watched George walk around the vehicle, admiring the way he looked in his suit.

"I have been running around my apartment all morning, trying to find a nice dress to wear and what do you think happened? I picked the first one I tried on". Fiona giggled when he joined her in the car and George moved his head to look at her with a smile. "It looks beautiful on you and we match!" He said and Fiona noticed it now too. "Then it was fate, I think". They both laughed while George began the drive to their destination and the car automatically filled with music. Luckily these were better circumstances than the last time and she looked forward to the long trip home with George.

It went by in a flash and Fiona almost couldn't contain her excitement when they drove into the street where her childhood home was. She had agreed to pick up her parents and Fiona couldn't wait to see her dad's shocked face when he saw George. She didn't tell them that she was bringing anyone and certainly not that it was one of the Williams drivers. "Let me call my parents to let them know we're here". She said and Fiona grabbed her phone and pressed her mother's contact. "Hey mom, I'm outside! Okay, see you soon". She said before she hung up again. It was probably best to let her dad sit in the front so Fiona got out to meet them, George doing the same.

"Hey dear. Oh, I didn't know you were bringing someone!" Her mom said when they walked out the front gate. Her mom didn't watch Formula 1 so she had no idea who the boy was that her daughter had brought home. "Fiona? Why is George Russell at our house?" Her dad asked and he pulled the exact face Fiona had imagined him to pull. "He's coming with us to Aunt Helen's wedding. Mom, Dad, this is George. George, this is my mom Eveline and my dad Steven". She introduced them to each other and her dad was frozen for a few more seconds until he moved to shake George's hand. "Nice to meet you, ma'am, sir". He said and her mother giggled like a little school child. "Oh please, just call us Eveline and Steven, we're not thát old yet!"
