Having George home with her again after missing him for so long, made Fiona extremely happy. Every day after work, he came over, cooked dinner with her, watched Love Island together and cuddled her to sleep. Fiona had expected him to not want to be with her anymore, after what she had to tell him, but it seemed to have only made their relationship stronger. Waking up in his arms, feeling his breath on the skin of her back while his fingers ran over her waist, even in his sleep, was the best feeling in the world. Fiona had never imagined a relationship to feel like this and she felt like the happiest she had ever been. Luckily they had an entire weekend to enjoy each other's company now.
"Do you want some cereal, babe?" Fiona heard George yell from outside the bathroom. She had just taken a shower and she was currently naked in front of the mirror, staring at the scar across her lower stomach. It was healing very nicely and it wasn't hurting anymore, but the hardest part was accepting it was there. It was hard for her to look at it, knowing it would be there forever now. Fiona hadn't let George see her without a shirt, ever since she had come home from the hospital and it was really hard for her to expose herself in front of him again. 'What if he doesn't find me attractive anymore?' Her mind went crazy every time she spotted the large line on her skin. "Babe?" George yelled once more while knocking on the door. "Are you okay?!" He sounded really worried and Fiona was shaken out of her thoughts immediately. He was probably scared she had fainted again.
Fiona quickly grabbed her robe from the hook on the wall and tied the strings of her dressing gown around her body before she slowly opened the door. "I'm okay, I'm sorry.." She could see the worried look on her boyfriend's face and he let out a big breath of relief when he finally saw her. "Come here.." Fiona said before she wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled his body against hers. George nuzzled his face in her neck and she loved the feeling of his soft breath on her skin. "I would love some cereal, but can I show you something first?" She whispered before she felt him nod against her body. Fiona grabbed his hand and pulled him back towards the mirror where she was looking at herself a few minutes ago. She pulled him to stand behind her while keeping her eyes fixated on his face in the mirror.
"This is really difficult for me.." Fiona whispered when she felt George's fingers run over her arms. "You don't have to show me if you don't want to, angel.." He said, probably knowing what she was talking about after she had been fiddling with the strings of her robe for a while. Fiona shook her head and started untying them, keeping her eyes locked on those of her boyfriend. George smiled encouragingly at her when she slowly opened the fabric of the robe, revealing her naked body to him. His eyes hadn't drifted down yet, but Fiona felt a sting in her heart when they did. 'This is it, this is the moment he realizes he doesn't want to be with me anymore'. She thought but that couldn't be farther from the truth. George tilted his head slightly and a small smile formed on his lips while he was admiring her body. "You're so beautiful". He said and it made a lump form in Fiona's throat.
George fingers left her arm and wandered over her shoulder, down towards her breast and eventually ended on her stomach, right above the scar. "Does it hurt?" He asked and Fiona slowly shook her head. It was almost fully healed, so it was safe for him to touch. George let his finger glide over the line across her stomach, while he lowered his face towards her ear. Fiona closed her eyes when she felt him press a small kiss behind her earlobe but quickly opened them again when he whispered to her. "You are the most beautiful woman in the world. I'm so incredibly proud of you and I love you so much". It was the most vulnerable moment Fiona had ever shared with George. Standing naked in front of him, his fingers on her newly acquired scar after discussing the possibility of not being able to have kids with him and still he made her feel like the only girl in the world for him. Because she was.
