Lauv - Changes:
'Changes, they might drive you half-insane but it'skilling you to stay the same. But it's all gonna work out, it's all gonna work out someday. Moments, livin' with your eyes half-open, you've been thinking 'bout these changes. It's all gonna work out, it's all gonna work out someday'

"Fi! Come look at this one!" Fiona heard her best friend say from the other side of the store. They had been shopping for dresses for a while now and while Maddie found the one she was after in the first store, Fiona hadn't been so lucky. She wasn't looking for something overly fancy, she just wanted something simple but elegant. After trying on a lot of stiff dresses, Fiona had become a little sceptical, thinking she wasn't going to find anything today until she spotted the blush pink, satin fabric in her best friend's hands. "Wow.." She softly said while she approached the blonde girl, letting her hands glide through the fabric of the dress. "I think this one is perfect for you.." Madeleine said and Fiona could do nothing but nod. It was.

"Let's go to the changing rooms, you must try it on!" Fiona followed her enthusiastic friend to the back of the store, nodding her head at the lady who worked there. The woman was probably happy the girls had finally found something they seemed excited about. Maddie sat down on the vacant seat, next to a man who looked like he had been sat there for hours. Fiona's eyes caught her best friends' ones and they let out a slight giggle before the darker-haired girl headed into the changing room. She looked at the dress while she took her shirt off for the tenth time that afternoon and the longer she had it in her sight, the more beautiful it became to her.

After taking off her jeans, Fiona took the dress off the hanger and slowly let the fabric glide over her arms and head. It felt so soft on her skin, something she had been looking for the entire time. She adjusted the dress a little before she turned her body to the full-length mirror to her left. A small smile appeared on her face when she spotted her reflection, this was the dress. The way it hugged her figure around the waist but was still flowy at the bottom. The way the colour complimented her skin without making her look pale. Fiona pulled her hair from the messy bun it had been in for work and shook her head to let her locks fall over her shoulder.

"Are you ready? I want to see!" Maddie yelled on the other side of the door and without hesitation, she opened it to let her best friend in. "Yes! This is exactly what I was talking about! You look beautiful, Fi.." Her friend said and Fiona thanked her silently by looking up at her in the mirror and smiling. Madeleine adjusted the off-shoulder sleeves a bit and stood back, looking at her with her head slightly tilted. "Why do you have your thinking face on?" Fiona said, a giggle escaping her lips when she looked at her friend like that. "I just want to check something, wait here!" Maddie said before she ran out of the changing room again. Fiona shook her head while smiling, this is why she loved her so much.

While she waited for her best friend to return, Fiona pulled her phone from her purse and checked the notifications on her screen. Her heart fluttered when she saw that there was a new text message from George he sent her about twenty minutes earlier. She hadn't spoken to her boyfriend since she left that morning and she couldn't wait to tell him the good news that she was joining his travels to Monaco this weekend. Her finger tapped on the notification and she let her eyes glide over the screen, reading his message.

George 💞:
Good afternoon, beautiful. I just left the factory and am now in my car, ready to drive home but I just wanted to say that you can come over when you're done if you want. And if you can't or don't want to, can I call you a little later? I want to hear how your doctor's appointment went. I love you, little one 💙

Fiona 🕊️:
Hi love, I'm almost done. Was just shopping with Madeleine but I think we'll be heading home soon. I'll come round to yours in half an hour, okay? I love you too 💘
