Matt Simons - With You:
'I'll be with you, I'll be waiting for you on the other side, on the other side. And the winds that blow they'll guide you home, get you through the night, get you through the night. It'll all be right'

George hadn't been able to stop thinking about her since their movie night. The way her hazel eyes twinkled in the dimmed lighting of her living room, the way she tilted her head and smiled at him when he made a joke and the way she fitted perfectly under his arm when she got scared of something that happened on the screen. It had only confirmed the feelings he had developed for this girl and within seconds, it also made him remember the fact that she had a boyfriend. So George did what he thought was best and tried to just be her friend. For the next week and a half, they would wave at each other when he entered the factory, they would have lunch whenever he had time and they even had another movie night where he had done everything he could to not ask her to cuddle up to him again.

But he couldn't help himself. As he was watching her enter the cafeteria, his heart started beating faster. She looked gorgeous as ever with her wavy hair in a high ponytail and a big smile on her face, probably from something Maddie said to her. "You're completely smitten, aren't you?" Nicholas asked him and George snapped back to reality. "I really like her, yeah. But it doesn't really matter, she has a boyfriend anyway.." He answered before he looked at his teammate's compassionate face. George and Nicholas had become good friends over the past year. And even though a lot of people thought he had only been given a place in F1 because of his dad's money, George thought Nicholas was actually a pretty good driver.

Fiona waved at George from across the room before she sat down at a table with Madeleine. George shot her a big smile back and focussed on the paperwork on the table again, where he had been analyzing the data from the simulator. Preparing for the new season was more work than most people would think. The days on the simulator were long and extremely exhausting, but George had no problem coming to the factory every day since it meant he got to see Fiona's gorgeous smile when he walked through that door. Why did he always fall for the girls who had a boyfriend? It happened to him once before and he had been completely shattered when the girl chose to stay with her boyfriend after kissing him one night.

As much as he didn't ever want to feel like that again, George knew there was something special between them. And he knew Fiona well enough by now, to see that she could sense it too. The way they could talk to each other, just by looking into each others' eyes, not even saying a word, was something George had never experienced with anyone else before. They seemed to understand what the other was saying before they had even finished their sentence and he couldn't help but feel obligated to protect her from everything bad in the world. Including her own boyfriend.

Fiona had told him about Miles during their last movie night and even though he had heard a few stories from Madeleine, the things she told him that night, shocked him even more. She told him about the way he came crashing into her house the day after the party and how he got mad at her for not telling him about going to the party, searching every room for a guy she apparently cheated on him with, according to his messed up brain. George had blatantly asked her why she kept going back to him after he clearly treated her so poorly and she answered that she just couldn't imagine a life without him since she had never been good with being by herself. He wanted nothing more than to wrap his arms around her and tell her that he would be there for her, but he didn't.

As much as he would have loved to convince her to leave Miles and become his, he knew she would have to realize on her own that she wasn't being treated as she deserved. He told her how he felt about everything he heard and George could see on her face that she agreed deep down, but she was too afraid to leave him. All he could do was be her friend for as long as she stayed with him and support her in everything she did. Even though it killed him, feeling this strongly for someone whose heart belonged to someone else right now. George cared about her enough to wait for her.
