After a lovely time catching up with her best friend, Fiona opened her apartment door when the doorbell rang. She smiled when she saw the tall Williams driver and the shorter dark-haired mechanic behind it. "I spotted this creepy guy lurking around downstairs and he looked quite hungry so do you mind if he eats with us?" Toby said, pointing at George and Fiona laughed before she stepped aside to let both of them through. Toby took off his coat before he stepped further into the living room to greet his girlfriend.
"Hey.." George said when Fiona turned back to him and he opened his arms for her to cuddle him. She loved his scent and the feeling of his warm embrace made her a little sleepy after a long day. "You look really pretty". George whispered in her hair and Fiona smiled up to him before she stood up on her tippy toes to plant a kiss on his lips. "I texted you earlier, but you look really handsome today as well". She answered while looking down at his outfit. He was wearing dark grey trousers and a white button-up shirt and he had rolled up his sleeves after work, revealing his strong arms. George squeezed her waist and placed his hand on her lower back to guide her towards the living room where Maddie and Toby were sat on the sofa.
George joined them while Fiona walked over to the kitchen to check up on the lasagna. She took a couple of beers from the fridge and brought them over to the boys. "Dinner is ready in about 5 minutes". She told them when she sat down next to George. Fiona loved seeing the connection her boyfriend had built with his mechanic and although the two of them had known each other before, it only seemed to have grown once they started dating her and Maddie. The four of them talked about their day until the oven timer went off and they all shot up to go to the kitchen. Madeleine helped Fiona pour some more drinks while she got their dinner from the oven and the boys looked in admiration of the feast in front of them.
"This smells amazing, girls". George said and he smiled at his girlfriend before she suddenly realized something. "I know we should probably have cooked something more healthy, but this was all we could come up with in such a short amount of time". She said while taking a sip of her wine. "It's alright, I'll tell Aleix it was a very healthy vegetable lasagna, okay?" He said while he put his hand on hers across the table. Madeleine scooped some of the food on their plates and soon they were all enjoying the lovely food and each other's company. "Are you excited to race in Imola?" Maddie asked George after a while and he nodded while he quickly swallowed the bite he was chewing. "Yeah, I really like the track and the history so I'm looking forward to it. Hopefully I can finally score some points there. It's been a long time coming.."
They chatted some more about the upcoming race, some promotional videos the boys were supposed to shoot soon and they agreed to go out for dinner in Italy together before Fiona stood up and started clearing away the plates and the empty lasagna bowl. "Do you need some help?" George asked when he entered the kitchen and took his place behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist. "No I'm fine. I'll just rinse everything and put it in the dishwasher, but I appreciate your company". Fiona said when she let her head fall back against his chest. She washed the plates and the pots and pans they used for cooking while George was holding her, softly stroking the bare skin on her stomach.
"Did you bring some stuff to stay over?" She asked when she was done loading the dishwasher and George nodded. "Maybe we can find you a shelf to keep that stuff here, so you don't always have to be prepared to sleep over.." Fiona suggested and she walked over towards him, placing her hands on his chest. "That sounds good". George answered while brushing some hair out of her face before he cupped her cheek. "Thank you so much for the lovely dinner, angel". He whispered and Fiona's knees nearly gave out from the sweet gesture. She smiled up at him and her eyes fluttered closed when George leaned in to kiss her. She had kissed him dozens of times already, but she never got used to the tingling feeling running up and down her spine when his lips touched hers.
