Astrid S - Favourite Part Of Me:
'Cause some people make me bitter, smile and then squeeze a lime in my cut. And some people make me sweeter 'cause they make me feel like I am enough and that makes me a giver but my mom says I tend to give too much. And some people make me better and that's how I know my favourite part of me is you. My favourite part of me is you'

Saturday night, a week after Fiona's birthday and George was on his way to his girlfriend's apartment to pick her up. He hadn't told her that they had plans tonight yet, but it was supposed to be a surprise after all. When he parked his car in front of Fiona's building, George let out a big breath before he stepped out. He used the key to allow himself to enter the apartment and smiled when he heard the brunette girl sing from the kitchen. She was washing up her dishes and she hadn't seen him yet. "Hello, gorgeous.." He said and Fiona's head snapped back to look at him. A huge smile appeared on her face and she placed the last pan in the dishwasher before she closed it and dried her hands.

"Hey.. I didn't know you were coming over!" She said before she stood on her tippy toes to give him a kiss. George loved the sight of her small frame trying to reach for him and he teased her a bit before he leaned forward to let their lips meet. "Yeah, about that.. I need you to get ready. We have plans.." He said, not revealing any more information that could ruin the surprise. Fiona's eyebrows furrowed and she looked a little sceptical but after he shot her a big smile, it looked like she agreed to come. George followed her to her bedroom where he sat down on her bed while Fiona hurried through her closet to find something to wear. "Should I do casual or a dress or something?" She asked him, not knowing where they were going.

"A dress is good". He said and he laughed when she popped her head out of the closet in frustration. "You have a million dresses, pick one. You look gorgeous in all of them". He said, shaking his head at her. After a while, Fiona had settled for a black bodycon dress and some heels. She touched up her makeup slightly and sprayed some perfume on her neck before she grabbed her keys, phone and some money to put in her purse. "Can you tell me where we're going now?" She asked when George opened the car door for her and he chuckled. "Nope. You'll have to wait and see".

The drive would be pretty short, so he felt the nerves bubbling up more the closer he got to their destination. When he turned into his street, Fiona's head snapped towards him. "Wait, are we going to your house?" She sounded confused and George understood why. She obviously expected to go out somewhere and not just drive back to his house but as soon as she spotted the balloons and the twinkly lights at his front door, he heard her gasp. "Wow, what is that?!" George parked his car and decided to ignore her questions until they got inside. He walked over to the other side of the car and opened the door to offer his hand to Fiona.

She kept looking around to see if she could find any hint as to what they were doing here, making George place his finger under her chin to lift her face to meet his gaze. He looked at her for a moment, their eyes focussed on each other before he leaned in and placed a soft kiss on her lips. "I love you so much, little one. Now let's go in". George laced his fingers through hers and opened the front door to his house. The lights were off and after they stepped foot inside his living room, he waited a few seconds before he switched the light on. "SURPRISE!" He felt Fiona's knees buckle and her hands were slapped across her face. It had worked.

Fiona couldn't believe what had just happened. One moment she was singing to herself in her kitchen after eating dinner by herself and the next she was stood in her boyfriend's house being surprised by everyone she loved. In front of her were her parents, her aunt and uncle, her grandparents, Maddie & Toby, Nicholas and Sandra, Jessie, Eleanor and some more people from work. She slapped her hands across her face as soon as they all jumped up from behind the couch and her knees almost gave out on her. "What? Oh my god, hi!" She said, noticing different people every time she looked across the room. Fiona was glued to the floor but her mom hurried over to her to give her a hug.
