William Black & Matte - Take Me:
'Don't tell me where we're gonna go, just take me. Right now every time you're close, I'm shaking. Yeah, you're the only one who knows how to save me. Don't tell me where we're gonna go, just take me. Just take me'
Today was the day. The new Formula 1 season was starting with the launch of the new Williams F1 car. The entire team had been working extremely hard to finish the car, test it in the simulator, in the wind tunnel and on the track during the filming days. Fiona had gotten a few additional tasks in the weeks running up to the reveal and even though she loved being a receptionist, it was definitely fun to help out with other stuff as well. She had helped the social media team with sending out the press invites, decorated the hall where the car was being revealed and was responsible for greeting the press and guests that were coming today. Fiona had enjoyed working for Williams these past 6 weeks, but today was the most exciting day until now for her.
She hadn't seen George properly since he left Sunday morning after their first intimate night together and Fiona had been walking around the factory with butterflies in her belly every time she spotted him from far away, the past 5 days. Because of their busy schedules, they weren't able to sit down and have lunch together and Fiona really missed talking to him. Maddie had given her a proper grilling once she arrived at work last Monday, wanting to know every single detail from the day of the wedding. The girls had gushed about their love interests to each other and they were happy to be experiencing these moments together. "Ready for the madness?" Madeleine asked when she walked up to the reception desk where Fiona was seated, waiting for the first guests to arrive.
"I guess. I'm so excited to see the car though". No one in the factory besides some of the engineers, mechanics and obviously the drivers had seen the car yet, so it was a surprise for everyone. When Fiona spotted the first guests walking into the building, she quickly waved goodbye to her best friend before she stood up and walked over to them. "Good morning. Welcome to Williams Racing, thank you for coming to our car launch. I'm Fiona and I will escort you to the hall where the car will be revealed in a moment. First I would like to remind you that it's forbidden to take any photos inside the building, except during the launch of the car of course. Are there any questions?"
She had spent the entire morning rehearsing her lines and she was happy the first time had gone so well. None of the guests had any questions, so Fiona escorted them to their destination, where they could enjoy a glass of champagne and talk with other guests before the launch would start. She repeated these actions about a dozen times that morning until all the guests had arrived. Fiona let out a big breath when she was freshening up in the bathroom, happy that this part of the day had gone well. She fixed her team shirt and skirt and headed out the room to join the others at the reveal. "Hello there, gorgeous". She suddenly heard behind her and within an instant, she turned around, she could recognize that voice from miles away.
Fiona looked around the space, but they were the only people left in the hallway so she quickly ran towards him and threw her arms around his body to hug him. George nuzzled his face in her neck and she was so happy to finally be able to touch him again. "I missed you.." She whispered and George squeezed her a bit tighter. "What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be revealing the car right now?" Fiona said when she pulled away from him, her eyebrows furrowed and a confused look on her face. "I have a few moments still, I was looking for you actually. I just wanted to see you for a second". He answered and Fiona's mouth curled into a smile. "You're so sweet". She said before she hugged him again, looking up at his gorgeous blue eyes.
George quickly leaned in to place a loving kiss on her lips and then finally let go of her so they could walk towards the hall together. "Do you maybe want to go out for dinner tomorrow night?" George quickly asked and Fiona nodded, telling him that they would text about the details later and wishing him good luck with the reveal. She walked into the hall, her eyes roaming around the room to try and find Maddie and luckily it didn't take her long at all. A few minutes later, the lights in the room dimmed and the music started. All the photographers got their camera's ready and everyone in the room was excited. Within a few moments, George and Nicholas appeared on the stage and Fiona felt butterflies erupt in her stomach.
