Chapter 56

When Dynamight and Red Riot returned to the agency after their successful mission, they felt extra excited. "Isn't this great? Y/N is back and I feel like a million bucks!" Kirishima boasts, throwing his arms behind his head in a stretch.

Bakugo smiled to himself. "Yeah, it actually is nice. She's also talking about taking over the paperwork, at this rate, we may not need Inferno to help us out anymore."

Kirishima lifts an eyebrow. "You think so? Would we let her go or..."

"Transfer of course. She's a good hero, in fact, she probably would do well having her own agency," Bakugo concluded, opening the front door.

"We can have a meeting to discuss the options. Right now I just want to bury myself in..." Kirishima stopped short, sniffing the air for a scent that was now faded.

Bakugo looks over at him in confusion before realizing what he was doing. Sniffing the air himself, Bakugo also picked up on the faded scent of their omega. They gave each other a worried glance. "Come on, she's probably just down at the gym. We can't keep worrying all the time," Kirishima replies.

Both alphas made their way through the building, trying to find you. But when they came up empty, they tried to call you.

"No answer," Bakugo growls, hanging up for the fifth time.

Kirishima paces the room. "She couldn't have left again, could she?"

Bakugo wasn't listening, he made his way through the building and back down to the front desk, Kirishima trailing behind him. "Hanna, have you seen Destiny?" He asks her, and she looks up from her work.

"Yes sir, she was here this afternoon," she bows respectfully.

"And where did she go?" He questions, his arms crossing.

"I...I'm not sure sir, she read a letter and then she left. Something about Shoto?"

"That son of a--"

Kirishima claps a hand over Bakugo to calm him down before he blows the secretary's desk up.
"God damn it! I knew this would fucking happen!" He thunders. "She spent a few months with him and...did the ten years together mean nothing to her?!" He explodes, his anger getting out of control.

"Calm down Katsuki, maybe it's not like that. She said she wasn't going to run away unannounced, maybe they needed to end things properly," He tried to reason.

Suddenly a new person enters the room, and both heroes snap their heads over to see Kenna slithering closer. "Hey, guys! How about that takedown?! You guys rocked it out there!" She exclaims proudly.

"Not now Inferno," Bakugo grumbles, moving away from her.

Kenna mocks concern. "Is it about Destiny? I'm so sorry, I thought for sure she was going to stay. I tried to tell her--"

Both alphas snapped their heads to the female. "What? You spoke to her?" Bakugo presses, moving closer to her.

"I said a few words to her. I mean, she seemed pretty excited to read that letter. She said she was going to meet Shoto. I tried to tell her it wasn't a good idea, but she's pretty stubborn," She says innocently with a shrug.

Kirishima pulls at his spiked hair. "I knew we shouldn't have left her alone. Man, I really thought..."

"Stupid...stupid...stupid!" Bakugo hits his head as if that was going to make anything better.

"Come on guys, we can't let this omega get the better of us. We're so close to getting our rank back! We don't need any distracting smells around here anyway," Kenna says casually.
