💟Toru Oikawa - Royal💟

It's a royal AU. You're a princess. Also, since you're royal, I kinda gave you a fancy first name, but since fancy people are like "Let's give our child like five different names" one of your middle names is Y/N and that's what you go by in the peasant world.

Evangeline Marisol Clarrissa Y/N Sawamura-Sugawara.

That was your full name, but to Toru, you were just Y/N. It was perfect. He didn't know about your royal heritage, and so he wasn't afraid to treat you like a regular person.

You and him were sitting in an old house on the edge of town, resting your head on his chest. You'd met him three years ago, and you'd been dating for two of those years.

 You were relaxed, which was something you didn't get often back home. With three brothers, several cousins, and quite a few friends coming and going all the time, you never got a break.

Except for when you were with Toru.

"Why are you so worried about people seeing us together Y/N?" he asks softly.

You tense, and he runs a hand through your hair.

"I just...I don't go out in public much."

It wasn't a total lie. You really didn't go out much, unless you were seeing Toru. The kingdom didn't really even know what you looked like, which was tradition. Royals weren't revealed to the kingdom until their 18th birthday, when they ascend to the throne. It was so they could observe their subjects in safety. Still, you were still nervous someone would know.

"What about you? You seem nervous about it yourself," you say, drawing circles on his other hand with your finger.

"I just want you to be comfortable," he says, still playing with your hair. "If you don't want to go out in public, then we won't."

You sigh. If only you two could stay like this forever.

You sit up quickly.

"Shoot, I have to go," you say, standing up.

"Why? Is everything okay?" he asked, standing with you.

"Yeah, just..." Just my parents are going to freak when they realize I snuck out again. "Just some family stuff I forgot about."

He nodded and pulled me into a hug.

"I'll miss you," he says. "See you tomorrow?"

"I'm not sure," you say. "Check at our usual time. I'll be back soon."

You two shared a soft kiss before you started running back to the castle.

When you climbed back into your room, you barely had enough time to sit down and pretend to be reading when your mom, Suga, walked in, followed by all three of your younger brothers.

"Evangeline," Suga said. "Are you busy?"

You shook your head.

"It's just Y/N," you correct. "And where's dad?"

"Daichi's on his way." Suga adjusted his crown. "He's finishing up some...last minute preparation."

You raised an eyebrow and looked at your brothers for clues.

Tobio was trying not to laugh, Kei was giving you a look that made you want to punch him, and Noya just shrugged his shoulders with a teasing grin.
