Hey everyone, Dire here! I've made a new friend (and possible future Husband) who loves KuroTsuki as much as I do!
So, here's the first Ship oneshot of the book. I'll finish posting my X Reader chapters after, but I wanted to give a bonus with dedication to my new soulmate!
"Bro, c'mon, open the door!" Bokuto called. "We're going to be late!"
"Go without me!" Kuroo shouted from his bed. "I don't feel like going out tonight."
He heard Bokuto sigh from the other side of the door. A second later, the door opened.
"Dude, I know he legit broke your heart, but come on. This get together is going to have more than just him."
Kuroo sighed. He appreciated Bokuto's not using 'his' name, but he honestly was not in the mood to see his first crush hanging on the arm of his old high school friend.
"I'm not in the mood Bokuto," Kuroo mumbled, rolling over to face the owl man.
"C'mon, it's all the old volleyball teams," Bokuto wined. "Besides, you'll barely see Kenma. You might even meet someone else that catches your interest."
"I've already met these people Bokuto."
"...Okaaay, but I know your old high school crush might be there~"
Kuroo looked up at his friend.
"Dude, he hated social events. What makes you think he'll show up?"
"Worth a shot. Now get ready, you've got like ten minutes."
Bokuto left the room, and Kuroo stood up to get ready.
Okay, maybe the thought of seeing his old high school crush was a nice thought. But hey, it's been years, and it was pretty obvious the guy's best friend was going to end up with him. It was why Kuroo had never considered going for him.
And Kuroo definitely didn't still have a small crush on him. No way.
He was just curious on how his old friend's life had been lately. Yeah. Just checking in with a friend.
"I regret this Bokuto."
Kuroo stood at the edge of the room with Bokuto and Akaashi, sipping on some water. He wasn't in the mood to get drunk tonight, much to Bokuto's surprise.
"You haven't even talked to anyone yet," Bokuto said.
"Yeah, that's because he is running around with the ginger shortie."
Akaashi patted his shoulder.
"For all it's worth, it was shitty of Kenma to string you along for this long."
Kuroo winced at the name, and felt his eyes sting.
"I think I'm just going to head home guys."
He set down the cup and left, making his way out of the building and towards his car. This was a bad idea. He knew Kenma would be here, of course he would. Hinata loved social events.
"Kuroo?"
He paused and turned. Behind him was the most beautiful man he'd ever been blessed with knowing.
"Oh," Kuroo said. "Hey Tsukki. It's been a while."
Tsukishima looked better than ever, in a crisp blue button down and black slacks. His blond hair was the same, and his glasses just made his warm honey eyes stand out even more.
