Kotaro collapsed into bed next to you, wearing only a pair of owl pajama pants.

"Everything okay 'Taro?" you ask, rolling closer to him.

He moved closer and pulled you into a tight hug, burying his face into your stomach. You chuckled and ran a hand through his hair, which was down and soft as apposed to when he styled it during the day.

"What's on your mind baby owl?" you ask gently, rubbing circles into his back with your other hand. You felt him relax into the touch and smiled.

"We have a game tomorrow," he mumbled. "And I just want to stay with you."

"Aww, it's okay baby."

"No it's not."

His arms tightened around your waist.

"I've been ignoring you for the whole week because of practice and now I have a game too."

You shook your head slightly, laughing to yourself. This man was too sweet for this world.

"Baby, it's okay. I know MSBY is a busy team."

Kotaro hid his face in your stomach.

"I'm a bad husband."

You stop moving your hands and he looks up at you. The sad look in his eyes nearly made your heart melt, but you had something else to do first.

"Kotaro."

He winced. He never liked it when you used his full name, he prefered the sweet nicknames.

"Y-Yes Y/N?"

You raise an eyebrow.

"We've talked about this."

"I know."

He looked down, and you sighed.

"You know you're an amazing husband."

He nodded, still not looking up. This was the typical routine when he got upset, so you weren't surprised.

"Kotaro, please look at me."

He did so, and you met his eyes again.

"I'm sorry," he said softly. "I didn't want to make you mad." 

You place a hand on his cheek and smile softly.

"I'm not mad baby owl. You know I'm not. I never am."

He leaned into your hand, giving you baby owl eyes. You knew what he wanted, so you started playing with his hair again.

"I just never want you to think you're less than you are," You say softly. "Because what you are is an incredible husband, and every day I feel lucky to have you."

He let out a small hoot and hugged you again, cuddling into your side.

"You're the best Y/N," he said. "You'll be at the game tomorrow, right?"

Again with the baby owl eyes. This man was going to be the death of you.

"Of course I will 'Taro. I'll be with Akaashi and Kageyama like always."

"And then we can go on a date?"

You laugh.

"And then we can go on a date."

He smiled and the two of you slowly drifted off. After a while though, he spoke up again.

"What if I lose?"
