AU: Superheroes. Consider it the My Hero Academia universe I guess? I'm using a random boy as the villain here, so I don't have to completely ruin anyone from Haikyuu.

It was an unspoken rule that heroes don't fall in love with each other. Just for safety reasons, though plenty of people broke that rule.
Iwaizumi and Oikawa were two of those people.
Hajime Iwaizumi
Hero name: Seijoh
Powers: Enhanced Speed and Pyrokinesis
Toru Oikawa
Hero Name: Great King
Powers: Charisma, Aerokinesis
The two were cuddling in their bed. It was early, and they were taking the morning slow.
"Hey, 'Kawa?" Iwaizumi asked, feeling Oikawa's breath on the back of his neck.
"Yea?"
"...Are we sure this is safe?"
Oikawa sighed and buried his head into Iwa's shoulder, pulling him closer.
"You bring this up almost every week Iwa."
"I know."
"And what do I always say?"
Iwa let out a small laugh.
"That it doesn't matter."
"Right."
Iwa rolled over so he was facing his boyfriend.
"Babe-"
"No. It doesn't matter because I'll keep you safe."
"That's not what I'm worried about 'Kawa. I know I'm going to get hurt, it's part of my job."
He paused, looking up at his boyfriend.
"I just don't want you to get caught in the crossfire."
Oikawa smiled and gave him a kiss.
"Don't worry Iwa. I can handle myself."
Just then, Oikawa's watch beeped. He sighed.
"I'm sor-"
"Don't be," Iwa interrupted. "I get it."
They smiled and Oikawa got up and got ready to go save someone.
It's been 8 hours since then. It was 3pm now, and Iwaizumi was panicking.
"C'mon Toru...answer me," he mumbled as the phone took him to voicemail for the 37th time.
He slumped onto the couch, hand running through his hair.
"God dammit."
His phone rang and he checked the caller. Makki. Dammit.
He answered anyway.
"Dude, have you seen the news?" Makki asked, sounding excited.
"No, why?"
