"Hey bro!" Bokuto called. Kuroo walked over and gave him a fist bump.

"Hey Kuroo," Daichi said. "You're later than usual."

"Yeah, I wasn't sure I'd be able to make Captain's Night tonight."

"Well, now we're just waiting on Oikawa."

Kuroo laughed.

"Like always."

Soon enough, Oikawa was there, and all the former volleyball captains started catching up.

"So," Daichi said. "How have things been with you and Kenma?"

"Oh, they've been...fine."

Immediately, six pairs of eyes were locked on the black-haired male.

"Alright," Oikawa said. "What happened."

"Why would-"

"Because you've barely talked about your 'Kitten' at all this time," Futakuchi interrupted. "And normally we can't get you to shut up about him."

Kuroo sighed.

"Okay, fine. I don't know, I feel like I'm bothering him lately."

He paused and Daichi motioned for him to continue.

"Like, he's always focused on the gaming or work stuff, which I'm totally fine with. I mean, I knew him in high school so I know how he is. But...I don't know, I'm always the one initiating things. Sometimes I wonder if he's only still with me because it's easier than breaking up with me."

Oikawa slammed his hand down.

"Not true!" He shouted. Everyone else jumped. "Kuroo I can promise you Kenma is still obsessed with you."

"How would you know?" Kuroo asked.

Oikawa smirked and flipped his hair out of his face.

"Pretty Setter Squad Brunch of course."

Kuroo nodded and gave a small smile.

"Well, that makes me feel a little bit better."

"Maybe," Ushijima cut in. "You should pull back."

Kuroo tilted his head.

"Huh?"

"Maybe stop doing things. Wait for him to show affection."

Kita nodded.

"Aran will do that without realizing it when he's feeling down. It's a good reminder."

"Satori kind of does too. He doesn't realize I notice when he's insecure."

Bokuto nodded excitedly.

"Yeah Kuroo! Kenma's a lot like Kita and Ushiwaka. They're pretty chill and their partners are pretty lovey, right?"

Both men nodded.

"See? So try backing off and wait for him to make a move!"

Kuroo nodded slowly.

"What if he thinks I'm ignoring him?"

"No don't do that," Daichi said. "You aren't ignoring him. Just stop with hugs, kisses, nicknames. Whatever you do like that. Wait for him to do something."

Kuroo nodded again.

"Alright. I hope you guys are right."

That night when Kuroo got home, it was almost 2 in the morning. That was typical, so he expected Kenma to be in his room gaming in bed like always. And, like always, he was.
