𝕾𝖎𝖓𝖈𝖊 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖆𝖌𝖗𝖊𝖊𝖒𝖊𝖓𝖙 of mutual friendship, Cair Paravel had grown noticeably more quiet. With every passing month it grew less and less noisy. The bustle of the maids and servants was still heard. The click clacking of Susan's heels as she went back and forth between fetching important documents and dealing with the foreign affairs. But something about the castle was off. You no longer heard the sounds of occasional voices clashing or the constant bickering. An almost serene silence danced through the halls.

Peter scrunched his eyebrows together. Had it always been this quiet? He was actually able to complete a days worth of work without a single complaint.

His mind immediately went to the thought that something could be wrong. So, doing what anyone would do, he searched the castle high and low for any clues that something could possibly be wrong. However, he turned up empty handed.

He strolled down to the training grounds in hopes he could find at least one of his siblings. It was a little past two, so Lucy would most likely be training; Susan would be answering any letters from other countries; and Edmund would be most likely trying to keep the soldiers from chewing each others heads off. He wasn't quite sure what his sister-in-law would be doing.

He had never really gotten along with her. Susan always told him it was his fault as he was the reason they all got off on the wrong foot with her. Of course, with Peter's arrogance, he denied it.

He passed the gardens and with great surprise saw his sister-in-law, Lucy, and Edmund. He furrowed his eyebrows together and watched from afar. Phoenix was carrying a pot full of tiny little white flowers and Lucy was tugging Edmund along. Each had different patches of dirt on them and the garden looked more lively than he had seen in a long time.

Edmund looked annoyed to even be there and Lucy was holding a proud smile. Phoenix placed the pot down and brushed her hands away.

"Okay I found the- Oh! Hello Peter," Susan exclaimed. Peter spun around and saw his sister clad in dirt and pulling a wagon full of flowers behind her.

"Is this where you have been all day?" He asked with a small smile.

"Yes, and before you say anything, we had asked you to come join us at breakfast." Susan recalled the entire event that her older brother dismissed entirely. Peter shook his head with a smile.

"I wasn't entirely awake then. You can not hold that against me." He said, waving his index finger.

"If you want you can help us finish up. Phoebe and Bellatrix should be here soon." Peter threw his sister a befuddled look. He never recalled them having a conversation about their in-laws coming to visit at Cair Paravel.

"I never knew they were coming," Peter replied, following after the little, bouncy wagon.

"It was a surprise put together by Lucy and Edmund. Phoenix doesn't know now hush about it." Susan replied much quieter. Edmund would have a dragon if Phoenix found out his family was coming for an early visit.
