𝕾𝖙𝖊𝖑𝖑𝖆'𝖘 𝖈𝖗𝖎𝖊𝖘 𝖊𝖈𝖍𝖔𝖊𝖉. Phoenix sighed, trying to rub the sleep from her eyes. Edmund placed a hand on her arm, allowing her to know she could stay in bed. The newly parents both had purple rings resting under their eyes. Only on occasion did Stella cry, but when she did, Aslan help them all.

The newborn, healthy as ever, her lungs proving the fact to be truthful. Her cries stretched into the farthest corners of the castle. Times where Edmund's siblings came to check on the baby themselves.

Phoenix shook her head, "She could be hungry, love."

"If she is then I'll take her on a walk to the kitchens." He persisted. "We really must move it into our room." Phoenix sighed, but did not complain. Extra sleep sounded wonderful.

Edmund placed a kiss to her temple, rubbing her shoulder gently. Stella's high pitched screams grew louder and louder as her parents gave her no attention. Edmund chuckled, "Alright Stella, love, I'm coming." At the sound of her fathers voice breaking through the darkness.

He hovered over the crib, the babies screams ceasing at the familiar face. She seemed to smile up at her father as she had suckered him into giving her what she sought for. "You'll be the death of me, little Princess."

Stella gurgled incoherent sounds, stretching out her small limbs. Her small brown curls sticking out in all different directions. Her small yawn had his heart swelling.

It was unimaginable how Stella could have him completely bent to her will, yet only being a few weeks old. A soft and tired smile formed on his face, "Tired as well?" He lifted her out of the crib, cradling her as he went to sit in the chair next to the crib.

He sat in the wooden chair that used to reside in front of Phoenix's vanity. The rocking chair stayed in the nursery that they would use for her naps. Otherwise, Stella stayed in their room. Still far too young to be separated from them.

Stella grunted her face scrunching up, "Don't do it." Her face turned beet red as she tried her hardest to find relief. A small burp left her lips and Edmund rolled his eyes. He had feared that Stella would leave him a mess to clean up in the middle of the night.

He patted a rhythm into her back, gently lulling her back to sleep. He voice was almost below a whisper as he spoke to her. "We have a big day tomorrow, Stells. Everyone will be there to meet you, even my old friend Mr. Tumnus." Her eyes began to flicker as she yawned again. "Your Mummy will introduce you to everyone. You'll see Aunt LuLu, Aunt Susan, Auntie Bell, Uncle Pete, and Cousin Arc. Perhaps even Aslan." The Great Lion was yet to acknowledge their invitation to Stella's christening, but the two knew he was untamed.

When Edmund looked back down, Stella was fast asleep. Her fingers scrunched around the fabric of his night shirt. Edmund decided to start to wear them again when Stella spit up on him after a feeding. Phoenix had cackled and nearly toppled over and Stella had just looked as innocent as ever. Both knowing he could not stay mad, just disgusted.

He laid the baby back into her cradle before tucking her in and joining his wife. She laid her head on his chest instantly. "Thank you," she mumbled into his shirt.

"Of course, darling." He wrapped his arms around Phoenix, pulling her closer. Sleep begging to take over him. Just as his eyes shut for the night, Stella began to fuss. The two groaned.

"Let her sleep with us again," Edmund whispered into her ear.

"Fine." She grumbled.
