"𝕿𝖎𝖒𝖊 𝖙𝖔 𝖜𝖆𝖐𝖊 𝖚𝖕, Jax," Phoenix spoke softly. Her hand caressed the dragons large snout. Phoebe and Lucy waited outside the cave patiently for the dragon to turn back into normal size. It was always best for the handler to awaken the dragon. As a way to fend off predators, during the dragon's hibernation state he transforms into his largest size.

Jax yawned stretching out his large, scaly legs. Phoenix scrunched her nose as her best friends breath hit her in the face. She quickly waved the air away.

"You need to brush your teeth when we reach the castle." Her nose scrunched up, trying to rid the awful smell from her memory.

"Good morning to you too," Jax quipped, calming himself.

Phoenix smiled at him, "Can I ask something of you, dear friend?"

Jax quirked his head at the tiny human's unnatural amount of kindness and formal tone. Searching his memory, he could only pick out a few times where he witnessed her breaking past her cold and sarcastic exterior. Unless she wanted something, then she could be sweeter than candy itself.

"What is it?" He speculated that she just wanted him to do something before he ate. His giant stomach rumbling at the thought of hunting down a nice little mouse around the golden castle.

"I may have promised Lucy and Phoebe a ride." Jax huffed. The air blowing up Phoenix's wavy hair, the strings of her shirt bouncing up and smacking her.

Phoenix pulled the famous Zyanya pout and sad eyes. She had learned this technique from her Mother, who got it from her Father's sister. Any woman in the Zyanya line who ever pulled this look could entrance anyone to do their biding. Whether good or bad, moral or completely immoral, a simple glance and a man would jump into a fatal gorge just so she could see how deep it was. It was a blessing and a curse.

Phoenix often wondered how the women in her family were able to do things like this with ease, but never voiced it. She hated history when her professor would come and teach her, let alone being 16 and still having one.

"Fine!" The dragon crumbled, stomping out of the cave. Phoenix rolled her eyes at the dramatics of her friend. It was only a ride and then he could terrorize all the poor mice he wanted.

She followed the giant tail that threatened multiple times to throw her into the cave wall. She did not comment on it, knowing her friend would be more of a mood then she would like.

"Easy there, Philip!" Phoenix heard Lucy's pitchy voice screech. The sun momentarily blinded the teenage royal, her eyes trying to adjust to the new found brightness of the mystical world.

"Sorry Your Grace, Jax spooked me is all." The dragon sighed and sat back against his hind legs.

"No need to apologize," Phoebe smiled at the horse. Philip bowed.
