Hashirama debated on either going home, or going straight to Madara's house to wait for his return. The latter was more tempting, but he wasn't sure if he was ready to tell Madara the news. Well, that is if he hasn't heard the news already. Ultimately, Hashirama decided it was best to go home. He wasn't even sure when Madara would return, and he didn't want to get caught lurking around his place. As he rushed to get home, he envisioned what Madara's reaction might be.
Would he attack me out of frustration?
Would he try to find Mito, and possibly hurt her?
Or, would he go after her father?
All of the options were pretty bad, but not far from the realm of possibility. This was going to crush him. Even though he has known about the arrangement for days, Hashirama knew he wouldn't be able to handle it. It might even push him over the edge.
Hashirama entered his home to find it empty. It was a pleasant surprise for him. The last thing he needed was Tobirama breathing down his neck while he was trying to relax.
He went straight to his room and collapsed onto his bed. He shut his eyes and finally allowed himself to just think about his situation. His horrible, horrible situation.
What am I going to do?
Before he knew it, he was fast asleep. The emotional stress of the day exhausted him completely. Rest was much needed.

Hashirama woke up in the clothes he wore from the day before. He somehow managed to pass out before changing. Leaping out of bed, he began stripping his clothes off so he could put on his usual wear.
Outside of his room, he could hear Tobirama moving around in the house. There was no way of avoiding him, so Hashirama left his room to go see him.
"Good morning," he announced as he walked into the kitchen.
Tobirama was standing over the stove, cooking some breakfast. "Good morning, big brother. Breakfast will be ready soon."
"Good morning, Hashirama," another voice called out.
Startled, Hashirama whipped his head around to see who else was in the home. Sitting at the dinner table was Mito. She had a warm smile on her face as soon has his eyes met with hers.
"O-oh, M-Mito. I didn't know you were here," Hashirama nervously spoke. He shifted his feet, showing clear discomfort.
"Tobirama invited me over for breakfast. I hope you don't mind," she grinned.
"Don't be rude, Hashirama. Go greet your fiancée." Tobirama scolded.
Didn't I just greet her? What is he expecting me to do?
Mito chuckled. "Oh, he's fine. Don't be so hard on him. This is different for all of us."
Tobirama seemed surprised by her answer, and almost taken aback by her courage to tell him no. Maybe Hashirama might warm up to her, after all. Especially if she keeps this up. Hashirama mouthed a "thank you" and took a seat beside her at the table.
"I was hoping I could join you today at your office," she continued, changing the subject.
"What about the wedding plans?" Hashirama asked honestly.
