Despite waking up beside Mito, Hashirama couldn't help but wake up with a smile on his face. Just a few hours before, Madara and him shared another passionate night. The taste of him still lingered on his lips. He could still hear the "I love you's" said over and over throughout it. It pained him that he had to leave to go home, but he felt more assured that Madara knew how much he cared for him.

He slipped out of bed to catch a moment alone before Mito woke up. They'd be leaving in just a few hours to go to a hot springs a few towns away. Their time there will be filled with various spa treatments and more. Hashirama looked forward to a bit of relaxation, but he knew what was to come later in the day.

As he poured himself some tea, he could hear Mito was finally awake. It was a bit frustrating for him because he was hoping to have a bit more time to gather his thoughts. However, he put on a brave face and waited for her to enter the room.

"I'm surprised to see you awake so early," Mito teased, brushing past him to start preparing breakfast.

"Why is that?" Hashirama questioned curiously.

"You came home well past midnight. I figured you'd be sleeping for at least another hour or more," she explained.

Hashirama didn't know what to say, so he just left the conversation be.

He finished his tea and left the room to get ready. Mito offered him breakfast, but he found himself without an appetite. His cheerful mood was quickly dwindling as it came closer to leave for their trip.

-ARRIVING AT THE HOTSPRING-

"Oh, it's so lovely! Don't you agree?" Mito beamed as they finally approached where they would be staying.

The building was grand and had bright, colorful flowers and shrubbery completely surrounding it. Butterflies and dragonflies danced and flew around them, giving it a magical feeling. A flowing river was just behind the building and trees that seemed to go on for miles surrounded everything.

"It's very nice," Hashirama sighed, staring up in awe.

An older woman approached them, while a couple of men grabbed their things to take inside.

"The beautiful couple! We are so happy to have you both here! My name is Kaori and I will be here to ensure you have a wonderful stay!" the woman cheered, taking each of their hands.

She happily guided them inside and headed straight to their room.

Inside the room, a giant bed with pink satin sheets was positioned in the center. Rose petals were scattered across and unlit candles surrounded it. Hashirama noticed that their things were already placed in the corner of the room.

"Once you are settled, we can begin the day's scheduled activities. First thing is a couple's massage, followed by a dip in the hot springs! Later, will be a delicious dinner made by some of the best chefs in the land!" Kaori expressed excitedly.

She swiftly left the room, leaving the two alone. Hashirama was really starting to feel the anxiety of what's to come now.

"Who knew marrying a Kage would come with such benefits. This place is so nice," Mito joked as she looked around the room.

"Is that the real reason you accepted this marriage?" Hashirama quipped.
