chapter eleven ♡

Lu Yue and Luo Mei are now back inside the mansion. God Ming is concerned about them.
God Ming- Is everything okay? Luo Mei, are you okay?
Luo Mei- I'm okay. There's no need to worry about me.
Lu Yue- She's okay. I'm here.
God Ming- That's good.
Lu Yue's phone starts to go off.
Luo Mei- (looks to Lu Yue) Yue Yue, where's your phone?
Lu Yue- It's in my pocket.
She takes his phone out of his pocket. She unlocks it and looks at the social media site. She sees new pictures of her and Lu Yue.
Lu Yue- What is it?
Luo Mei- There's a new pictures of us. Here. (she hands him his phone, he takes it & walks up to her room)
Lu Yue looks at Yu Ming.
God Ming- Go.
Lu Yue- Okay.
He walks off and up to Luo Mei's room. He sees her sitting on her bed. He goes straight to her and wraps his arms around her, hugs her from behind.
Luo Mei- (puts her hands on his arms) Handsome.
Lu Yue- Why did you walk off? Did the pictures upset you?
Luo Mei- How do they even do that?
Lu Yue- I don't know. I looked. The comments are blowing up. They're convinced we're dating. Just by the pictures.
Luo Mei- Oh.
Lu Yue- Didn't you say your father doesn't look on social media? Are you worried he will? Or did your cramps come back and that's why you walked off?
Luo Mei- Seeing all that on there overwhelmed me, is all. You came to me.
Lu Yue- God Ming told me to. He will probably be okay with us but if you're not ready to tell anyone I won't push it.
Luo Mei- You're everything. Why must you be so good to me?
Lu Yue- Isn't that a boyfriend's job?
She pulls his arms away and turns to look at him.
Lu Yue- Beautiful.
Luo Mei- You're my everything.
Lu Yue- You're mine.
Luo Mei- Baby boy.
Lu Yue- Tease.
Luo Mei- I'm not teasing with you. I want to cuddle.
Lu Yue- Okay.
They sit up against the pillows and wrap their arms around each other.
It's now the next day. Luo Mei has just got done getting ready to go out and has already called a cab. She walks downstairs with her pink boots in her hand.

She sees Old K, Old Cat, and Xiao Pang sitting at the computers, Lu SiCheng and Tong Yao sitting in the living area together, being cute and Lu SiCheng is feeding Tong Yao some food.
Then she sees Lu Yue walking over. He's about to sit in Tong Yao's chair to play a game but he stops because he sees Luo Mei.
Lu Yue- Wow. (he walks closer to her to check her out & leans into her to whisper in her ear) You look so beautiful.
Luo Mei- (she wraps her arms around his waist) I'm going to miss you so much.
Lu Yue- Aw, I'll be here when you get back.
Luo Mei- It will be 10:30am soon. I should get going. My cab could be here.
Lu Yue- Okay.
They let go of each other. Before she walks over to put her shoes on Lu Yue kisses her on the forehead.
Luo Mei- (she whispers to him) I love you.
Lu Yue- (whispers back) I love you.
She goes over and puts her shoes on.
Lu Yue- Hurry back, gorgeous.
Luo Mei- Okay.
She walks outside. She didn't have to wait to long for her cab. She gets into the cab and once she's in she tells the driver her destination and the driver drives off.
They're in the city now. Luo Mei is nearly where she's heading to but a car drives into the cab Luo Mei is in. She ends up getting into a really bad car accident.
Meanwhile back at the mansion, they're doing a practice round for their match that's coming up soon. Luo Mei has stopped responding to Lu Yue's text messages. He keeps on texting her but there is no responds to them.
A few minutes later, Xiao Rui's phone rings. He walks off to answer it. That gets Lu Yue's attention because now he feels there's something wrong; that's why Luo Mei isn't responding to his messages and maybe it's her who's calling. He gets up and goes over to listen in on Xiao Rui's phone call.
Xiao Rui- Hello.

Doctor- Hi, this is the hospital. We have Luo Mei down here. You're her brother-in-law or something?
Xiao Rui- Is she okay? (he notices Lu Yue)
Doctor- We hate to inform you that she's been in a really bad car accident and we don't know when or if she'll wake up. If she doesn't wake up after twenty four hours, she may end up in a coma.
Xiao Rui- What? That can't be right?
Doctor- It is, sir. I'm sorry. We advise you to come down. You're family?
Xiao Rui- Yes. Thank you.
He hangs up after that. Lu Yue is looking right at Xiao Rui.
Lu Yue- What was that? You said "she". Luo Mei? Please, tell me something bad didn't happen?
Xiao Rui- I can't do that.
Everyone looks over at them.
Lu Yue- What do you mean? Tell me?
Xiao Rui- It is Luo Mei. I hate to tell you this but she's been in a really bad car accident and they don't know when or if she'll wake up. They say if she doesn't wake up after twenty four hours, she may end up in a coma.
Lu Yue- What?! I could feel something was wrong but not this. Did you hear them wrong?
Xiao Rui- No. It's what they said. I can call for the bus to come get us and we can all go down.
Lu Yue- No! That will take too long.
Xiao Rui- How else we supposed to get there?
Lu Yue- (walks up to his brother's chair) Brother, you take me and everyone can come later. I already need to be there now.
Lu SiCheng- (pulls out his chair) Fine. Let's go.
Xiao Rui- I should go with. They called me.
Lu SiCheng- Okay.
Xiao Rui- (looks to God Ming) Your in charge of calling the bus. We'll go to the hospital first.
God Ming- Okay. I'm on it.
Lu Yue- Hurry.
The three of them walk outside to Lu SiCheng's car and get in. Lu SiCheng drives straight to the hospital.
Xiao Rui- Hello. I got a phone call saying I should come down and see Luo Mei.
Lady at front desk- Is that the patient you're looking for?
Xiao Rui- Yes.
Lu Yue- What room number is she in?
Lady at front desk- (sees what room Luo Mei is in) 304.
Lu Yue starts to walk to it.
Lady at front desk- Wait.
Lu Yue- Huh.
Lady at front desk- Are you family?
Lu Yue- I'm her fiancé.
Lady at front desk- You can go. What about...?
Lu Yue- He's my brother. He's family.
Lady at front desk- Then you all can go on a head.
Lu Yue walks passed them and to Luo Mei's room. He walks in and pulls up a chair on her right side to sit down. He goes to hold her hand. His eyes are red and he's shaking a little.
Lu Yue- (he talks to her but he's having trouble) Baby, yo... you can... can't l... l... leave me. Not... like this. Please... I c... can't lose... you, n-not again. W-What abo-about the promise... we m-made? We were... going to be cute... like my brother and sister-in-law.
Lu SiCheng and Xiao Rui leave Lu Yue in the room alone. They want to give him some time alone with her.
Lu Yue- Please... I want m-my baby girl t-to wake up. S-She has to. I-I know you would want me to stay... strong but... but what if... you never w-wake up. You said... I was st-stuck with you. That... you're n-not going... anywhere. Please, baby girl.
Yu Ming comes walking in. He walks up behind Lu Yue and puts his hand on his shoulder.

it's like this scene in "falling into your smile". this is how Lu Yue is acting:

God Ming- She'll be okay.
Lu Yue- But... she won't wake up. What if she... never does.
God Ming- Don't think too much. She's strong. She will fight this. Sooner or later she'll wake up.
Lu Yue- I just can't lose her again. Not like this.
God Ming- I know.
Lu Yue- I want to stay here... with her. I'm... never leaving her side... until she wakes up. As long as... it takes... I don't care.
God Ming- I know how much she means to you.
Lu Yue- She... means everything... to me.
Yu Ming moves his hand and Lu Yue lays his head down on the bed. He tries to hide his tears.
Then Tong Yao walks in with Lu SiCheng, Old K, Old Cat, Xiao Pang, and Xiao Rui behind her.
Tong Yao- How is she doing?
Xiao Pang- Lu Yue, don't worry. She'll wake up.
Lu Yue- And what if she doesn't? (he says kind of cold)
Tong Yao- Lu Yue, she's strong. She'll get through this. You shouldn't think too much.
Old Cat- She'll wake up.
God Ming- Why don't we leave him.
They all leave. Lu Yue lifts his head up. He picks up her hand and gets up to sit on the bed.
Lu Yue- (he looks down at her & starts to stroke her hair to the side) She's still so beautiful.
He never leaves the hospital, that whole rest of the day. He even refuses to eat the whole day. He stays the night. He has his head laying on her stomach and ends up falling asleep there.
