chapter sixteen ♡

   Luo Mei pulls away from Lu Yue. She turns to look at him. He holds her by the arms.
Luo Mei- You didn't come cheek in while I was getting ready. Maybe I shouldn't of gave you those kisses.
Lu Yue- (leans into her) Did I promise I would?
Luo Mei- You still don't get anymore kisses. (he looks at her) You're not being cute.
Lu Yue- Say that again. (he goes closer to her)
Luo Mei- (she tries not to laugh because she's teasing him) You're not being cute.
Lu Yue- Take it back. (they walk more to the bed)
Luo Mei- Should I?
Lu Yue- Take it back. Now.
They end up falling on the bed.
Luo Mei- Lu Yue?! You fell on me. Did you forget...
He tries to get up but she stops him by pulling him down.
Luo Mei- It hurt for a second. Don't move.
Lu Yue- Are you sure?
Luo Mei- Lu Yue, your eyes are red. I'm okay. Please don't cry. There's no need for it. (she puts her hand on his cheek) I'll take it back. I was only teasing you after all. You are being cute.
Lu Yue- I'm always cute. (the red in his eyes start to fade)
Luo Mei- You're the best.
Lu Yue- What did I do this time? I know I am but why are you saying it?
Luo Mei- You layed out my clothes and my jewelry for me.
Lu Yue- Oh yeah. I did do that. Is that why you kissed me like that?
Luo Mei- Maybe. I want to tell God Ming now.
Lu Yue- Now? You don't want to make out a little? We could probably get away with it.
Luo Mei- Mmm, how could I not want that.
   He leans his head down so she can start. They make out a little and then Luo Mei pulls away from him.
Luo Mei- (she's sitting up on the bed) Let's go--- (she felt his arms wrap around her) Baby boy.
Lu Yue- You want something?
Luo Mei- You.
   She pulls away from him and limps on her leg while she walks towards the door.
Lu Yue- You're teasing me.
   He gets up and follows her. Luo Mei turns around and goes to wrap her arms around his waist.
Luo Mei- I'll go down first.
Lu Yue- Okay. (he wraps his arms around her)
Luo Mei- You know I don't need my crutches.
Lu Yue- Yes. I'm not going to tell you to use them like my brother.
Luo Mei- He didn't have to scold me about it.
Lu Yue- Yes, I know. But you know how he is.
Luo Mei- Uh-huh.
   She let's go of him. She turns around and reaches out her hands out behind her. He instantly puts his hands in them and walks up closer to her.
Lu Yue- I thought we were going down?
Luo Mei- We are. I can't feel your hands for a second?
Lu Yue- You didn't say "baby boy" when you reached out your hands.
Luo Mei- Because I felt you would know what I wanted.
   He kisses her on the side of the forehead. She slips out of his hands and walks out the room. She makes it to the railing.
Luo Mei- (she feels Lu Yue behind her & sees his hands next to hers) Lu Yue, what are you doing? You're being too clingy. We'll be seen.
Lu Yue- It's your fault. Maybe if you didn't call me last night.
Luo Mei- Don't you dare say anymore.
   She slips away from him. He stays there and she holds on the railing of the stairs while she walks down. Lu SiCheng is there when she gets to the bottom.
Lu SiCheng- Luo Mei, you don't have your crutches again.
Luo Mei- I don't need them!
Lu SiCheng- Luo Mei, you have a broken leg. How else are you supposed to walk?
Luo Mei- I can walk fine without them.
   She starts to walk forward. God Ming happens to be walking in and he catches Luo Mei by holding onto her arms.
Luo Mei- Can Brother Cheng stop scolding me about my crutches? I can walk fine without them!
God Ming- Luo Mei, your leg is still broken.
Luo Mei- I know. Can you walk me outside?
God Ming- Okay.
He walks her outside. Once they're outside she says something to him.
Luo Mei- God Ming, please I want Lu Yue.
God Ming- Okay. I'll sit you down and go get him.
Luo Mei- Thank you.
   He sits her down at the swing bench and goes inside. He sees Lu Yue right after he walks in.
God Ming- I was just coming to get you.
Lu Yue- Did you bring Luo Mei outside?
God Ming- I did. She said she wants you so I came in to get you.
They head outside and go over to where Luo Mei is.
God Ming- Here's Lu Yue for you, Luo Mei. I'll be going back inside.
Lu Yue sits next to Luo Mei.
Luo Mei- No. I asked you to bring me out here and to bring Lu Yue to me because we want to talk to you.
God Ming- Okay. (he sits down next to them) What is it?
Luo Mei- Lu Yue told me you would be okay with us being back together. I'm ready for us to tell you...
God Ming- I know. You both are back together.
Luo Mei- You knew?
God Ming- I just had a feeling and I was right.
Luo Mei- You're really okay with it?
God Ming- Of course. I accept you being with Lu Yue. You make him happy. He's been much happier since you've been here. Honestly, I want you both to be together. I couldn't picture Lu Yue with anyone else.
Luo Mei- (she goes to hug him) Thank you. (she kisses him on the cheek)
God Ming- Lu Yue, are you getting jealous?
Lu Yue- No. (he really did)
Luo Mei- (she moves closer to Lu Yue & looks at him) You get better kisses than that.
   She sets her hand on his cheek, pulls his head close to her, and kisses his lips with hers. They forget that God Ming is there and get into the kissing. Lu Yue puts his hand on her waist.
God Ming- Umm... Lu Yue? Luo Mei?
They stop kissing and look at him.
Luo Mei- Sorry.
God Ming- It's fine. Why did you both want to tell me this?
Luo Mei- You've been there us. I wanted you to be the first one to know. You're okay with that?
God Ming- Yes.
Luo Mei- I felt ready to tell you.
Lu Yue- I was with her on it. I wouldn't just tell anyone if she's not ready.
God Ming- I understand why she wouldn't want to tell anyone. But they'll accept you. You have nothing to worry about. But if you only want to tell me right now. I'm okay with that.
Luo Mei- Thank you, God Ming.
God Ming- There's no need to thank me. I'll continue to be there for you both. It's what you do for family.
   Luo Mei takes Lu Yue's hand and puts hers in it. She is also in so much pain but she's trying really hard to hide it from Lu Yue because she's afraid how he will act if he knew.
   Later they're all getting ready for the photoshoot. Lu Yue and God Ming help Luo Mei on the bus. She holds onto God Ming before he sits her down on Lu Yue's lap.
Luo Mei- Thank you, God Ming.
God Ming- No problem. (he goes to sit down in his seat)
Lu Yue- (looks at Luo Mei) Something's wrong?
Luo Mei- Yes. I can't lay my head on you.
Lu Yue- Why not?
Luo Mei- I don't think it will be good on my ribs. I know they still haven't healed.
Lu Yue- Then don't. It's okay. If it's going to hurt.
   To be honest what's hurting Luo Mei more is keeping that she's in so much pain from Lu Yue.
   They soon arrive at the photoshoot. They all get ready for it. Luo Mei is taking longer to get ready than Tong Yao did. They already started taking pictures. Lu SiCheng and Tong Yao are getting their pictures taken.
Xiao Rui- Luo Mei has been in the dressing room long. She's taking longer to get ready than Tong Yao did. Last time.
God Ming- You think someone should go check on her?
Xiao Rui- (looks to Lu Yue) Lu Yue, would you mind to go check on Luo Mei? And bring her here?
Lu Yue- I don't. I'll go.
   He goes to the dressing room and walks in. He sees Luo Mei sitting on the sofa with her leg up. He goes to her, sits on the sofa, and wraps his arms around her.
Luo Mei- (puts her hands on his arms) Handsome.
Lu Yue- It's me.
Luo Mei- I can't walk. (tears start to build up in her eyes)
Lu Yue- I know. We brought your crutches.
Luo Mei- (she's crying now) Lu Yue, I'm sorry.
Lu Yue- No. There's nothing to be sorry about. What happened to you isn't your fault.
   She pulls his arms away and tries to turn around and looks at him.
Lu Yue- You're going to mess up your make up if you cry.
Luo Mei- I barely have any on.
Lu Yue- Your mascara is running a little. Don't cry anymore. I'll get something to fix that.
He gets up to get something to fix her make up and does just that.
Lu Yue- Now don't cry anymore. There's no need for it.
Luo Mei- I love you so much.
Lu Yue- I love you more.
She smiles at him.
Lu Yue- There's that beautiful smile. (he's done fixing her make up)
Luo Mei- (she looks at his hair) Baby boy, I want to touch your hair.
   He moves closer to her and she reaches her hand out to stroke his hair to the right side. He closes his eyes because he's loving it. She has her legs elevated on his. He goes to kiss her and she moves her hand in his hair. Kissing him takes her mind off the pain.
   While they're making out God Ming comes in. He sees them kissing. He let's them for a little while and then he goes over to them.
God Ming- Lu Yue, you were supposed to bring her not go to kiss her.
Lu Yue- (pulls away from Luo Mei's lips & she moves her hand) Yes. But she's my girl after all. I can kiss her if I want to. Hmm.
Luo Mei- (she giggles because he's being cute) Kiss me again, cutie.
God Ming- Let's go. No time for this. If Luo Mei won't use her crutches. Carry her. (he starts to walk toward the door)
   Lu Yue goes to kiss Luo Mei. She's smiling while he's kissing her and she puts her hands on his cheeks.
Luo Mei- Handsome's giving me kisses. (she's still smiling)
Lu Yue- Yes. (he gives her a few more kisses)
God Ming- (he turns around) Stop kissing and let's go.
   Lu Yue gently moves Luo Mei's legs off him so he can get up. Then he leads down, wraps an arm around her waist and one under her legs, and lifts her up. She holds onto him by wrapping her arms around his neck.
Lu Yue- I got her. (they're looking in each other's eyes)
God Ming- Let's go.
   They walk out with Lu Yue carrying Luo Mei. They head to where they're taking pictures.
Xiao Rui- Good. You're here. They want to get pictures of the back up players.
Lu Yue- Okay. (he carries Luo Mei over)
   He let's her down and she holds onto him tight. The camera guy tells them where he wants them.
Xiao Pang- They look like they're getting their wedding pictures taken.
Xiao Rui- Shhh.
Old Cat- They look really good together, huh?
Xiao Pang- Yeah. (agrees with Old Cat)
Camera Guy- ...put your backs against each other.
Luo Mei- (looks up at Lu Yue) Lu Yue.
Lu Yue- Just endure it. It'll be okay.
   They do that and then the camera guy has them do other poses.
