chapter thirty ♡

Luo Mei and Tong Yao are on they're way to meet up with Yang Lian and Chen JinYang. Luo Mei gets out her phone from her bag. She starts to message Lu Yue.
Luo Mei- Baby boy.
Lu Yue- I know what you want but I can't quite do it now because you're not here with me. Can't you wait it out until you get back?
Luo Mei- Yes, handsome.
Lu Yue- Good girl.
Luo Mei- I can change back into the outfit you picked out for me when I get back.
Lu Yue- You better.
Luo Mei- But what's the point? Won't you just end up taking it off of me?
Lu Yue- What?
Luo Mei- Don't you dare be a pervert. I was talking about helping me change into my pajamas.
Lu Yue- But I was going to come to you when anyone has gone to sleep.
Luo Mei- No, don't. We've been able to get away with being alone a lot today. It doesn't matter if everyone is asleep or not just come to me. They know we're best friends so what's wrong with you coming to talk to me?
Lu Yue- Nothing.
Luo Mei- I'll message you to come to me.

After that Tong Yao starts to talk to Luo Mei.

Tong Yao- I hope you and Lu Yue are okay. Your friendship has kind of been on a rollercoaster since the accident.
Luo Mei- It has.
Tong Yao- Is he still pulling away?
Luo Mei- Pulling away? What do you mean?
Lu Yue messages Luo Mei, "Hey, where did you go?" in that second. She sees it and reads it. When Tong Yao starts to say something she looks at her.
Tong Yao- Well, he was keeping his distance from you and then he started to be around you when your ribs healed but what happened today it looked like he was pulling away.
Luo Mei- No. That was all nonsense he was talking about. He's not pulling away.
Tong Yao- Oh. Good.
Luo Mei- Does everyone want us back together? I mean, I'm not against being with him but he just wants to be friends right now.
Tong Yao- Are you sure that's what he wants?
Luo Mei- Yeah. We've talked about it. But I'm okay with it because he still is my best friend and I don't want to lose that.
Soon they get there. They walk in. Luo Mei told Tong Yao before hand that she wanted to talk to just Yang Lian before joining her and Chen JinYang. Luo Mei is with just Yang Lian now.
Yang Lian- Okay, sister, spill.
Luo Mei- Wait, I really need to call him.
Yang Lian- Okay, go ahead.
Luo Mei gets out her phone, dials Lu Yue's number and he answers.
Luo Mei- Lu Yue.
Lu Yue- Baby, what's wrong? You sound like you're going to cry. Please don't.
Luo Mei- Please tell me you're not really pulling away?
Lu Yue- Princess, I promise you I'm not. I don't want you to worry about that. Who's the one who started the conversation about getting married?
Luo Mei- Handsome did. (tears start to fall down her cheeks)
Lu Yue- What are those tears for? There's no reason to cry about this.
Luo Mei- I'm sorry.
Lu Yue- No. There's no reason to say that. Did someone say something to you?
Luo Mei- Tong Yao. But she only asked me if you're pulling away. She didn't do anything wrong. Just talking about it made me think maybe you were.
Lu Yue- Hey, I'm not going anywhere. I promise you that. Do I ever break my promises?
Luo Mei- No. But I broke a promise by breaking up with you.

Luo Mei- I know that one. (she says with a smile)
Lu Yue- I love how selfless you are and how you can be confident in yourself.

Lu Yue- I love that you're strong and you'll fight through anything. I definitely love how you go for what you want.
Luo Mei- Tell me more, handsome.
Lu Yue- I absolutely love how you call me or refer to me as handsome. I do love how clingy you get.
Luo Mei- Really? Should I do it more?
Lu Yue- Don't you dare stop.
Luo Mei- Can you tell me more? Lu Yue, Yang Lian's giving me the look like we should hang up.
Lu Yue- But I'm not finished. I don't want to hang up. I love hearing the sound--- There's one. I love the sound of your voice.
Luo Mei- Even when I sound like I'm mad at you?
Lu Yue- Your voice still sounds sweet.

After that Yang Lian hangs up the phone call.
Luo Mei- Hey! I wasn't done talking to handsome. He's going to think I hung up on him.
Yang Lian- Good. You were supposed to tell me about you both.
Luo Mei- (she says low & bites her lower lip) Who knows what he'll do to me.
Yang Lian- What? He has been doing things to you?
Luo Mei- What? I mean, he pushed me up against the wall twice today. I had a lot of his lips. And we've been able to get away with being alone a lot.
Yang Lian- That's good. So why haven't you guys done it yet?
Luo Mei- (she laughs) Oh my gosh, Yang Lian. Because I'm not ready. He told me that's up to me. I have the say in that. I honestly want it to be a special day when I'll want him in that way.
Yang Lian- Your wedding night.
Luo Mei- Yes.
Yang Lian- Have you told him this?
Luo Mei- No. Because I want him to figure it out.
Yang Lian- Luo Mei, I know you. You'll start craving him before your wedding day. You'll end up calling him and telling him you'll want him in that way. You'll tell him before he can even figure it out.
Luo Mei- No, I won't.
Yang Lian- Wait. You two aren't engaged, are you?

Luo Mei- Yes. Yes. I want him to basically recreate our first date and ask me under the cherry blossoms. (she says with heart eyes)
Yang Lian- Awww. That's sounds so romantic.
Luo Mei- Yeah. I know. He's been wanting me a lot today but when I told on him to his brother he was being mean to me and once after I told Brother Cheng that Lu Yue wouldn't do anything to hurt me. Lu Yue gave me a look like he's hurt me mentality.
Yang Lian- What? Has he?
Luo Mei- No! I know him. I know why he did all those things. He could never hurt me in any way. But since that nonsense was mentioned. I feel like he started pulling away.
Yang Lian- Is he?
Luo Mei- He says he's not. But I want him to prove it to me.
Yang Lian- Did you tell him that?
Luo Mei- No. Yang Lian, when it comes to him. It gets hard to go for what I want. When I first wanted him I didn't just go for it because technically our love is forbidden, and I was afraid. Not to fall for him but what my father would do to him.
Yang Lian- I was the one that had to persuade you to go after him. You know, in the end the heart wants what the heart wants and that can't be changed.
Luo Mei- Thank you for that. Choosing to be with Lu Yue was the best thing I ever did.
Yang Lian- Wish you could of told me. You followed your heart, and my persuading worked and you went after what you really wanted but you never told me.
Luo Mei- Sorry.
Yang Lian- It's okay. I understood why. Can you tell me more? I know you want to.
Luo Mei- Ah, I loved when I told him about what happened while he was gone he wouldn't move from on top of me.
Yang Lian- It was because you two were making out before hand?
Luo Mei- Yeah. But I started it. He undid my skirt and wouldn't put it back.
Yang Lian- Was he teasing you?
Luo Mei- Yes.
Yang Lian- Wait. Why exactly did he undo your skirt? Was it this skirt?
Luo Mei- He thought if he touched me he would be in trouble. He really was when he wouldn't put it back. And no it wasn't this skirt.
Yang Lian- Did you have a different outfit on before?
Luo Mei- I did. And he picked it out for me. He didn't really like that I changed out of it. He said I looked fine before. He lost it how I was acting over it. I told him what he wanted and to just go for it.
Yang Lian- Did anyone see?
Luo Mei- No. He pulled me away where no one could see us.
Yang Lian- Oh. How are you now? Are you longing for him?
Luo Mei- I'm okay. Really. I mean, it would be nice to be with him now but I want to be here. After all he's not my only friend. I have you.
Yang Lian- That's right. You can't forget about me.
Luo Mei- Of course. You were there for me after I had no choice to break up with Lu Yue. Which crushed me so much.
Yang Lian- You were in so much tears. I couldn't calm you down and all you said was "I want my best friend." Over and over.
Luo Mei- I didn't know who to go to after I told Lu SiCheng. So all I thought about was going to you.
Yang Lian- All I did was give you Chocolate Chip and you were out. You fell asleep once he was in your arms. I really wanted to give you Lu Yue but I felt bad that I couldn't.
Luo Mei- Yang Lian, you didn't have to feel bad. Chocolate Chip was enough. Besides, that was all in the pass, I'm never leaving Lu Yue again. I can't. I won't. It's not even option. He's stuck with me forever. I don't care if our love is forbidden or that our families are basically enemies. I'll follow my heart no matter what. He's the one. Only one for me. Yang Lian- Good. I want you to think all that. You both are soulmates. Don't ever let that go.
Luo Mei- That's something I can't do. Yang Lian, you really did help. What ever could I do to thank you?

Luo Mei- I don't know what I would do without you.
Yang Lian- Well, I'll always be here for you. Do you want to go join Tong Yao and Chen JinYang now or do you want to tell me more about you and Lu Yue? I mean, you can always tell me some other time.
Luo Mei- Maybe we should go.
Yang Lian- Okay. Wait, did Lu Yue go somewhere today? You said something about "while he was gone." What does that mean?
Luo Mei- Oh, yeah. Him and God Ming went somewhere this morning but I don't know where.
Yang Lian- What? Really?
Luo Mei- Yeah. Old Cat thinks he has a surprise for me. But what ever it is. I can wait. I let him wait. It's my turn.
Yang Lian- Is it bothering him what he can't tell you? I know you both don't do well with keeping things from each other.
Luo Mei- Yeah, but he says I get his mind off it. He knows I'll be there if he thinks about it too much and ends up crying himself to sleep. And if he needs it he has a reminder. He told God Ming everything. And I know if it has to do with me. He won't forget.
Yang Lian- Oh.
Luo Mei- Lian, Lu Yue and I have been telling everyone a story about us. (she laughs) I'm finding it funny now.
Yang Lian- Really? What's the story?
Luo Mei- Well, I told Old K that I think Lu Yue just wants to be friends. So I told Lu Yue about this and guess what he told everyone?
Yang Lian- What? Tell me. I want to know.
Luo Mei- Okay. (she smiles) Handsome's exact words were... "We were just talking. We can't do that? What's this getting back together talk? I just want to be friends, right now." Oh, and he said something else but that was because we were coming back downstairs because we wanted to do a dual.
Yang Lian- Oh.
Luo Mei- He backed me up because I honestly didn't know what to say. I kind of thought we were exposed.
Yang Lian- So why did he say that?
Luo Mei- Oh, he told me, "because... I let you lead. It's up to you if you want them to know if we gotten back together. I'm not going to out us if you're not ready."
Yang Lian- Awwww.
Luo Mei- I know. He's everything. (she says with heart eyes) I just wanted to kiss him for that. I messaged him that before our dual so I couldn't quite do it.
Yang Lian- Yeah. He really is the best, isn't he?
Luo Mei- Uh, of course he is.
Yang Lian- Okay, do you think we should go join them now?
Luo Mei- Yeah. That's probably a good idea. I can always tell you more some other time.
Yang Lian- Yeah. Let's go.

After that they head off to join Tong Yao and Chen JinYang.
