chapter twentysix ♡

Lu Yue has walked out of Luo Mei's room. He then walks downstairs to find God Ming.
God Ming- What's up?
Lu Yue- I need to talk to you about something.
God Ming- Okay. Is it about Luo Mei?
Lu Yue- Yes. Not here.
God Ming- Okay.
They walk out to the balcony.
God Ming- What is it?
Lu Yue- I need to get Luo Mei a ring.
God Ming- Okay. Engagement ring?
Lu Yue- Yes.
God Ming- Did you ask your brother for the money to?
Lu Yue- No. I asked Luo Mei. I know she wouldn't hesitate to give me money. My brother might not give me it. Besides I don't think I want him to know about this.
God Ming- Oh. Are you asking her today?
Lu Yue- No. I just want to get it sooner than later.
God Ming- Okay. What do you need me for?
Lu Yue- I just need to tell someone. It's kind of hard not telling her about this.
God Ming- I know how you both don't like to keep things from each other.
Lu Yue- We've always been like that. Our relationship as been always based on no secrets. But she's so understanding that she's okay with waiting until I'm ready to tell her.
God Ming- But it's still hard.
Lu Yue- Yes. Keeping secrets from each other isn't our thing. We always had a hard time doing it.
God Ming- Well, it's nothing to get upset over. Tell her when it's time. It's not like you'll keep it from her forever.
Lu Yue- Yes. She said it's not something to get upset over.
God Ming- She's right. Do you have it planned when you're going to ask her?
Lu Yue- Yes. She's always loved our picnic dates under the cherry blossoms when they bloomed. I know she wants me to ask her under the cherry blossoms.
God Ming- That sounds so romantic.
Lu Yue- Yes. She always tells me, "handsome knows how to ask me."
God Ming- She calls you handsome? I don't know if I heard her say that to you.
Lu Yue- You have. At the match after everyone left she asked Brother Rui to go get her something is when I went to go kiss her.
God Ming- Oh, right. It's cute that she calls you that.
Lu Yue- Yeah. I know. My Mei Mei knows I'm handsome.
God Ming- Yeah. Is that all?
Lu Yue- Actually... I know she's really close with her brother. Since I never get it from her father. I want to ask her brother for her hand in marriage but if he knew she's back who knows what he'll do.
God Ming- Why do you need to tell him she's back? Just ask him if you were to ever be able to marry her would you get his approval in her hand in marriage.
Lu Yue- Okay. Then I'll call him sometime.
God Ming- When exactly are you asking her? Late March or late April?
Lu Yue- Late March. She would want me to ask her than.
God Ming- Okay. Well, you don't have to call her brother right away. You have time. It's not late March yet. If you want when it gets close to than I can remind you to call him.
Lu Yue- Yeah. That would be great. Thanks, God Ming.
God Ming- No problem. I'll always be there for you and Luo Mei.
Lu Yue- I really want her brother to be at our wedding. She wants that too and I know he means a lot to her.
God Ming- He should at least be there.
Lu Yue- Yes. I agree.
God Ming- Are you having me come with to get the ring?
Lu Yue- Yeah. But before we do I want to bring Luo Mei downstairs. I want her to interact with everyone.
God Ming- Okay. I can call us a cab.
Lu Yue- That would be great. Thanks. I'll go to her now.
He walks inside, upstairs, and back into Luo Mei's room. He walks up to her.
Luo Mei- You took too long.
Lu Yue- Why are you being this way?
Luo Mei- Because... I don't like it when handsome pulls away. And the way you treated me last night. I never wanted it to end. (she grabs onto him & pulls him down) I want more of you.
Lu Yue- I'm never pulling away again.
Luo Mei- You better not. Do you not want me to act this way?
Lu Yue- Don't you dare stop. I want you to. I love all the attention you give me.
Luo Mei- I love giving you attention. And you're mine. I'll do as I please to you.
She wraps her arms around his neck. After that he holds on her by the waist and lifts her up from the bed.
Luo Mei- Lu Yue, what are you doing?
He gently let's her down. Then he wraps his right arm around her legs, his other arm around her waist, and lifts her up in his arms.
Luo Mei- (she has her hands around his neck) You're not taking me with you, are you?
Lu Yue- No. I'm just taking you downstairs.
Luo Mei- Okay.
He walks towards the door carrying her in his arms.
Luo Mei- Will it take long?
Lu Yue- I don't know.
Luo Mei- Are you going into the city?
Lu Yue- Yeah. And God Ming's coming along.
Luo Mei- I don't want handsome to take too long.
Lu Yue- I'll try not to.
Luo Mei- Handsome doesn't want to be in trouble anymore? Does he know he still is? Why won't you say it?
Lu Yue- What happens if I never say it? What will you do to me?
Luo Mei- I'll fall on you again. I'll be more aggressive. I'll pinch your ear again.
Lu Yue- Don't you dare. But you know I like the others.
Luo Mei- Pervert.
Lu Yue- I know you love it.
Luo Mei- Uhh.
Once they're downstairs he goes to gently let her down at the computers in between Old K and Tong Yao's chairs. She holds on the table. He kisses her on the side of the forehead and walks off.
Luo Mei- (she doesn't realize it & says out loud) Wait, handsome!
It makes Lu Yue stop and turns around. Everyone is looking at her and they're all shocked. Even Lu Yue and God Ming are a little shocked that she said it out loud.
Luo Mei- Did I just say that out loud?
She then tries to walk to Lu Yue. He starts to walk towards her and stops her half way. She holds onto him.
Lu Yue- Don't you dare walk any further. What is it?
She goes to pinch his left ear, it pulls his head down.
Lu Yue- Ow! I told you not to pinch my ear again.
She tries to say it in his ear.
Luo Mei- Don't you dare act like you don't want me?! (she let's go of his ear & says something else in his ear) Why don't you want me?
After she says that he pulls her where no one can see them. Everyone goes back to what they were doing. Lu Yue pushes Luo Mei up against the wall. She's a little in shock by it.
Lu Yue- You should know I want you. It's just kind of hard to say it because I've always let you take the lead.
Luo Mei- (she puts her hand on his cheek) Don't think like that. I know you let me take the lead but it shouldn't make you feel you can't say it.
Lu Yue- I don't deserve you. I keep on upsetting you. I know what you want but I feel like sometimes I can't always give it to you.
Luo Mei- Lu Yue, why are you saying this nonsense?! You don't upset me. I don't want you talking like this. And you do deserve me, as much as I deserve you. I already love the way you treat me. Which you already give me what I want.
Lu Yue- Really?
Luo Mei- Yes. Stop this nonsense. The way you love and treat me is enough that I want. You do give me what I want. Don't doubt that.
Lu Yue- You're too good to me. (he moves her hand to kiss it)
Luo Mei- Would it make you feel better if you knew that you already make me feel like a princess?
Lu Yue- That's all I ever want. Do you?
Luo Mei- Yes. You always have. I want the Yue Yue that said he wanted to kiss me.
Lu Yue- I want you.
Luo Mei- Ahhh. There. Just try saying that more. Don't make it seem hard.
Lu Yue- I love how are you so understanding and accepting of me no matter what. I truly am in heaven.
Luo Mei- Yes.
Lu Yue- Ever since I came back to you. You've been more irresistible. Because of that all I've been wanting to say is... I want you.
Luo Mei- You're mine?
He goes straight to kiss her. She puts both her hands on his cheeks and starts to smile. He lifts her a little and they really get into the kissing. God Ming is there now.
God Ming- Are you two done yet? Lu Yue, you said you wanted to do this sooner than later. Our cab could be here.
Lu Yue- (he pulls away from Luo Mei's lips) Yeah. Give me a sec.
Luo Mei- (she's smiling & touching her lips with him looking at her) That was my handsome Yue Yue.
Lu Yue- I love you so very much.
Luo Mei- (she's still smiling) How much would that be?
Lu Yue- Probably more than words can explain.
Luo Mei- I love you so much. You're such a romantic. How do you do that?
Lu Yue- I don't know. You just bring that stuff out of me.
Luo Mei- Ahhh. Now I know why you were pulling it off to say it.
Lu Yue- Why?
Luo Mei- Because like you said I've been more irresistible since you came back to me. If you kept on saying it you wouldn't be able to control yourself and maybe you wouldn't be able to make it to what you wanted to do today.
Lu Yue- How... How do you do that?
Luo Mei- I don't know. When it comes to you I just know. I guess it's because I know you so well.
Lu Yue- But what I said was true.
Luo Mei- I told you. Just try to say it more. That's all I want.
He goes to whisper in her ear.
Lu Yue- So is handsome still in trouble?
Luo Mei- What would he be in trouble for? Please, Lu Yue, not now. I don't want to keep you from what you wanted to do today. You can have me when you come back.
Lu Yue- Okay.
Luo Mei- Does hubby know he's being really cute?
Lu Yue- Careful what you say. It might make me lose control.
Luo Mei- Okay. I'll try to be less irresistible.
Lu Yue- Uhh, don't you dare.
Luo Mei- I dare.
He doesn't have her pushed up against the wall anymore. He goes closer to her and they fall on the floor.
Lu Yue- See what you did.
God Ming walks away to make sure no one comes over to where they are.
Luo Mei- I couldn't help it. (she starts to laugh)
Lu Yue- You think this is funny?
Luo Mei- Lu Yue, you said don't you dare when I told you I'll be less irresistible.
Lu Yue- Yes.
Luo Mei- You really think I'll miss a chance to tease you? You should know by now that I love teasing you too much.
Lu Yue- Yes. I do.
Luo Mei- Okay, I'll stop now.
Soon they get up and Lu Yue walks Luo Mei to where he left her before. He tells her to stay in her ear, kisses her on the side of the forehead and walks off. Then him and God Ming leave.
Old K- (he looks up at Luo Mei & then back at the computer screen) Luo Mei, is everything okay with you and Lu Yue?
Luo Mei- Huh? (she looks down at him) Yeah. Why are you so concerned about us? Are you hoping we're get back together?
Old K- I... I mean I guess. Yeah. We all accept you. You make Lu Yue happy. If it's possible? He's been more of himself since you've been here. We want him to be with someone that makes him happy and you do.
Luo Mei- I want to be with ha... Lu Yue.
Old K- Does he know that?
Luo Mei- I think he just wants to be friends.
Old K- (he turns to look up at her) Then what was that at the match?
Luo Mei- (she's trying to hold in her laugh) I don't know. He's always been like that. He doesn't like when other guys want to be friends with me.
Old K- He wants to be your only guy friend?
Luo Mei- Yeah.
Old K- What about us?
Luo Mei- You guys don't count. You're more like brothers to me.
Old K- Oh, I see.
Luo Mei- Yeah. Do you think Lu Yue looks really handsome today? Oh, I'm sorry. I don't know why I said that.
Old K- It's okay. We all know you still have feelings for him. And you can still think that.
Luo Mei- Do you think he still has feelings for me?
Old K- I do. Maybe he'll come around to you.
Luo Mei- Yeah. (she hides her smile)
Old K- Did Lu Yue tell you where him and God Ming went?
Luo Mei- No.
Old Cat- Mei Mei, do you think he has a surprise for you?
Luo Mei- (she looks at him like he can't call her that) What?!
Old Cat- (Old K looks at him & he looks at Old K) What did I say?
Old K- You called her "Mei Mei". I think Lu Yue is only allowed to call her that.
Old Cat- Oh.
Luo Mei- That's true. Just like I can only call him "Yue Yue". He might get mad if he knew you said that.
Old Cat- Sorry, Luo Mei. Please, don't tell him I called you that.
Luo Mei- I don't think I can.
Old Cat- Why not?
She doesn't want to say anymore because she's afraid it might expose them and she's still not ready to tell everyone yet so she changes the subject.
Luo Mei- When Lu Yue comes back. I want to mess with him. Do you think we could make him think we're mad at him?
Old K- Why?
Old Cat- What?
Luo Mei- Umm... (she knows actually why she wants to do it)
Old K- If you don't want to tell us the reason we can still do it.
Luo Mei- Pang can join in too. I'll go tell him.
Old K- No. (he gets up) Sit in my chair. You should play a game round with Old Cat.
Old Cat- Huh?
Old K- Sit. I don't think Lu Yue will want you to be walking on your leg.
Luo Mei- You're right.
Old K- (he starts to walk towards where Xiao Pang is) You don't want him to scold you, do you?
Luo Mei- Umm... (she's trying to think about it)
Old K- You don't, right? Unless you want him to?
Luo Mei- (she sits in Old K's chair & turns it to face the computer) I didn't say that. (she knows Lu Yue won't scold her, he'll just do something else)
Old K- Pang?
Xiao Pang- Huh? (he takes off his headphones & sets them down)
Old K- Luo Mei wants you to join in.
Xiao Pang- On what?
Old K- Messing with Lu Yue.
Xiao Pang- Okay.
Old K walks back to where Luo Mei is. Xiao Pang followed. They're standing behind the chair Luo Mei's sitting in.
Luo Mei- (she has everything set up & she looks at Old Cat) Old Cat, are you ready?
Old Cat- Yeah. Let's play.
Luo Mei- Okay.
They start the game. Xiao Rui comes over to watch. Luo Mei is really good at being a Jungler. Soon the game ends and Luo Mei wins it for them.
Old Cat- Great job, Luo Mei.
Luo Mei- Thanks. I know. I'm good. (she turns the chair around & looks straight ahead) What is taking so long?
Old K- Huh?
Xiao Rui- Luo Mei, what's wrong?
Luo Mei- (she starts to get up) When did they leave?
Xiao Rui- Luo Mei, you shouldn't be standing.
Old K- (he goes to pull out Tong Yao's chair) Here. Sit here.
Luo Mei- (she sits down & talks to herself) He said he would try not to take long. Maybe I should of had him promise that.
Xiao Rui- Luo Mei, what are you mumbling about?
Luo Mei- I want to elevate my leg.
Xiao Rui- Okay. Use Brother Cheng's chair.
Luo Mei- (looks to where Lu SiCheng & Tong Yao are) Brother?
Lu SiCheng- What is it?
Luo Mei- Can I elatave my leg on your chair?
Lu SiCheng- Go ahead.
