chapter thirteen ♡

After Yu Ming left the room, Luo Mei's phone starts to ring. She gets it out of her bag and answers it while Lu Yue's still on her shoulder. Yang Lian is video chatting Luo Mei.
Yang Lian- Luo Mei, what happened? You never showed up yesterday. We were all worried.
Luo Mei- Sorry. I got in a car accident.
Yang Lian- What?! Don't say sorry for that. How bad was it?
Luo Mei- I broken a leg and cracked some ribs.
Yang Lian- Oh my gosh. I'm glad you're okay now. If something... Wait, who's laying on your shoulder?
Luo Mei- You can see that?
Yang Lian- It's Lu Yue, isn't it?
Lu Yue- (he lays his head next to Luo Mei's & now Yang Lian can see them both) Hi, Yang Lian.
Yang Lian- You taking care of Luo Mei?
Lu Yue- It's my job as a boyfriend. Of course.
Yang Lian- Good.
Luo Mei- (turns to look at Lu Yue) You're the best. (she says with a smile & kisses him on the cheek)
Lu Yue- I know.
Yang Lian- He is way too cocky.
Luo Mei- Don't make fun of him. You know how I love that he is. (he kisses her on the cheek)
Yang Lian- Stop it. You two are too much.
Luo Mei- We're cute. (says with a smile)
Yang Lian- Did you tell him?
Luo Mei- Yes.
Lu Yue- Is she talking about what you told me earlier?
Luo Mei- Yes.
Yang Lian- So you haven't lost Lu Yue, right?
Lu Yue- No. There's no way I would leave her. Ever.
Luo Mei- (looks to Lu Yue) I could kiss you right now.
Lu Yue- Than do it. You can talk to Yang Lian some other time.
Yang Lian- You two never change. You're inseparable more then ever now.
Lu Yue- That's the way we like it.
Yang Lian- Of course. I should come and visit some time.
Luo Mei- Yes. Not today. I never finished telling Lu Yue everything I wanted to.
Yang Lian- Then I'll let you go. I'm hanging up first.
She hangs up and Luo Mei puts her phone on the table next to the bed.
Lu Yue- You left off at telling me you don't think your father really cares about you.
Luo Mei- (turns her head to look at him) I believe it to be true. You know how I feel towards my father.
Lu Yue- Yes. And I know this is what you think. It's always been like this.
Luo Mei- I went to Yang Lian after I told my father I broke up with you. It wasn't pretty. It hurt so much. I told Yang Lian everything. I was crying so much that Yang Lian could barely calm me down.
Lu Yue puts his arm under her, holds on her arm and pulls her closer to him.
Luo Mei- (she looks at him) I just wanted my best friend. Yang Lian eventually got me to calm down with Chocolate Chip. Breaking up with you felt like breaking up a friendship. (her eyes start to water)
Lu Yue- You don't need to cry, baby.
Luo Mei- (tears start to come down) Why not?
Lu Yue- You know when you cry it makes me cry. (he wipes her tears)
She buries her head on his chest.
Lu Yue- When do you think your father will found out?
Luo Mei- I don't know.
Lu Yue- How about we get married before he finds out?
She sits up but the way she does it hurts.
Luo Mei- Ow.
Lu Yue- (he sits up & holds onto her) Mei Mei.
Luo Mei- Yue Yue, I'm okay. Lu Yue, let's wait on getting married. I feel like I just got back. My father never found out about me not marrying Yanis Lebeau. Let's wait it out a year.
Lu Yue- And if we can't?
Luo Mei- (she smiles at him) Either way, you know how to ask me. Are we making this a promise?
Lu Yue- We can.
Luo Mei- I know how we can seal it.
Lu Yue- Oh yeah?
She grabs onto his shirt to pull him close to her and kisses him. He puts his hand under her clothes where she hurts and kisses her back.
Luo Mei- You're being cute. (he moves his hand around her stomach)
Lu Yue- I know. When I was trying to get your room I told them I'm your fiancè.
Luo Mei- Really, cutie?
Lu Yue- Yes. (he's smiling at her) You remember the talk we had on the children we'll have?
Luo Mei- Yeah. We would have a boy first then a girl.
Lu Yue- That's right.
Luo Mei- Baby boy.
Lu Yue- What more could you possible want right now?
Luo Mei- If I have to stay more days here...
Lu Yue- You want me to be with you those days?
Luo Mei- (she reaches her hand out to stroke his hair to the right) Yes. But there's something else. I think you should go back to the base until tomorrow. If I need something I'll call Yang Lian and she can come down here.
Lu Yue- That's right no one knows we're back together. Maybe it's not good for me to stay here the more days you need to stay.
Luo Mei- It probably won't be that long. I'll let you know the days. Also I won't call a cab because it's not like Brother Cheng can't come and pick you up.
Lu Yue- Baby girl.
Luo Mei- Call him first and we can kiss more.
Lu Yue- Okay.
He gets his phone and calls his brother. He doesn't move where his other hand is. Soon Lu SiCheng answers.
Lu SiCheng- Hello.
Lu Yue- Can you come and pick me up?
Lu SiCheng- Okay. How is Luo Mei doing? God Ming informed us all that she woke up.
Lu Yue- She's doing okay. Did God Ming tell you what the car accident did to her?
Lu SiCheng- Yes. Also I've cleared the rumors about you and Luo Mei.
Lu Yue- What do you mean?
Lu SiCheng- They're going to find out about her anyways. The photoshoot.
Lu Yue- What did you say?
Lu SiCheng- I said Luo Mei is your old childhood best friend.
Lu Yue- That's all?
Lu SiCheng- I explained why she's here.
Luo Mei moves Lu Yue's hand, grabs onto his shirt and pulls him down to her. He's now on top of her and looking at her.
Lu Yue- Are you going to let Luo Mei go to the photoshoot? She'll probably still be injured.
Lu SiCheng- Lu Yue, don't worry about it. They want to get pictures of her. She's going. I'm on my way now so I'm hanging up.
Lu SiCheng hangs and Lu Yue sets his phone to the side.
Luo Mei- (puts her hand on his cheek) Baby, don't worry about that. If I fall or something. You'll be there, right?
Lu Yue- Yes.
Luo Mei- You're cute when you worry about me. (she smiles)
Lu Yue- Yes.
He leans his head down and kisses her. They kiss until there's a knock at the door. Luo Mei pulls Lu Yue away.
Luo Mei- Lu Yue.
Lu SiCheng- (he walks in) Lu Yue, let's go. I want to get back. I'll be waiting.
Lu Yue- Okay.
Lu SiCheng walks out and back outside to his car to wait for Lu Yue. Luo Mei sits up and wraps her arms around Lu Yue. He hugs her back.
Lu Yue- Don't miss me too much.
Luo Mei- I can't promise that. I love you.
Lu Yue- (he pulls her arms away & then goes to kiss her on the forehead) I love you more.
Luo Mei- Cutie.
She leans into him and kisses him. He holds onto her hand while he walks toward the door. Soon their hands pull away and he walks out. He meets Lu SiCheng outside the hospital and they head back to the base.
It's the day Luo Mei can come home. Lu SiCheng and God Ming are coming to pick her up soon. Before they get there she video chats Lu Yue.

But first she makes sure she looks good, so she brings her long hair on both sides in the front and looks at her phone to fix it. She holds her phone up a current way and clicks the video chat. Lu Yue answers.
Lu Yue- (he looks at her with heart eyes) Hello gorgeous.
Luo Mei- No, you are.
Lu Yue- You fixed your hair for me?
Luo Mei- I wanted to look good when you looked at me.
Lu Yue- Baby, you always look good.
Luo Mei- Aww, handsome. Remember, I come home today.
Lu Yue- I do. My brother and God Ming are on their way out.
Luo Mei- Baby boy.
Lu Yue- I know. Soon you'll be in my arms.
Luo Mei- Ahhh, why are you so cute?!
Lu Yue- You're cute.
Luo Mei- I love you.
Lu Yue- I love you more.
Luo Mei- Stop it.
Lu Yue- There's no way I'll stop being cute.
Luo Mei- Please don't. (she bites her bottom lip) Can I see Chocolate Chip?
Lu Yue- You want to see our son?
Luo Mei- Yes.
Lu Yue- (Chocolate Chip's in his arms now) Here he is.
Luo Mei- Those are mine. The sight of this just melts my heart.
Lu Yue- Luo Mei, it was your dream to be a ballerina, right?
Luo Mei- Yes. You know that.
Lu Yue- Then why did you want to go university if you could go to France to achieve your dream?
Luo Mei- Because I would be going with you.
Lu Yue- I'm more important than your dream?
Luo Mei- Yes. I choose you over it. But when my father found out about us I had no choice but to do just that. But achieving my dream wasn't much of a dream without you.
Lu Yue- I'm your dream too.
Luo Mei- Yes. I never wanted to let go of that dream.
Lu Yue- All that matters is you got me back.
Luo Mei- I miss you so much. When are they going to get here?
Lu Yue- Chocolate Chip misses you. I caught him going in your room. I told him your not here.
Luo Mei- Aww. I miss him too.
Lu Yue- I probably miss you more.
Luo Mei- That's what I wanted to hear.
Lu Yue- Baby, do you have any videos of you dancing?
Luo Mei- Maybe. I can show you them when I get home.
Lu Yue- Yes, please.
Luo Mei- Okay.
Soon there's a knock at the door,
God Ming- Luo Mei.
Luo Mei- Finally. I want to go home. Where's Brother Cheng?
God Ming- He's waiting at the car.
Luo Mei- Oh. Do you think you can hold my phone? I don't want to stop talking to Lu Yue.
God Ming- Yeah. (he takes her phone)
Lu Yue- Can you help her?
Luo Mei- Lu Yue, I got it.
She gets up. God Ming holds her while she puts the crutches under her arms.
Lu Yue- Thank you, God Ming.
God Ming- It's no problem.
He grabs her bags and they walk out. They walk to the elevator.
Luo Mei- God Ming, can I have my phone?
Lu Yue- Give it to her after you help her into my brother's car.
Luo Mei- Lu Yue?! I can do it.
They soon get off the elevator and walk out the hospital to Lu SiCheng's car. He goes up to God Ming.
Lu SiCheng- You help her in the car. I'll put her bags in.
God Ming- Okay. (hands Lu SiCheng Luo Mei's bags)
He takes the bags and puts them in the car.
Luo Mei- God Ming, I don't need your help.
Lu Yue- Baby, I'm not there. Who's going to help you?
Luo Mei- Okay, okay.
God Ming helps her in the car. Then they head back to the base.
